  5. Also one of the reasons I want to watch ST games - to see how he's moving and swinging I remember last ST he was killing the ball all the time, hope that's back
  6. Yep, and he's *capable* of hitting for that much. And just need him to provide even just acceptable defense
  7. New write-up on Sano and Buxton http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/mlb/news/20140220/miguel-sano-byron-buxton-jose-fernandez-jose-abreu/
  8. Seitzer on Melky: Among Thursday’s arrivals was Melky Cabrera, who toned up over the winter after having surgery to remove a tumour from his spine. Cabrera and Seitzer forged a strong bond during their season together in Kansas City, and picked up right where things left off. “I saw a couple of little things that we’ll address quickly,” said Seitzer. “His approach was a little off today, first day on the field taking live swings. Melky and I have a tremendous relationship so it’s something that I can go right after it and he’ll be receptive to it. He trusts me a lot, and that’s the first thing you have to do, build that relationship and establish some trust.”
  9. As down as I am on the team, I'll admit to being a bit optimistic about Melky. Dude can straight hit and he was killing it last spring before he started physically deteriorating.
  10. Even last year they didn't seem to. I could watch Jays games no problem last year for the first time. (living in Atlantic Canada FWIW)

  12. Good work whoever it is
  13. Plus only half of New Yorkers will vote for him. And most of the rest ofnfhe country will vote against him. Oh, and it's meaningless since 99.999% of America isn't even aware of it.
  14. Definitely done by a paid lackey. Confirmed by new internet super source. (Angrioter). He knows a guy who knows the guy who does it for him or something.
  15. Like it or not he's winning
  16. Yeah I hadn't thought of that in years. I only vaguely remember it but remember it being very compelling. Would it work now that every game is televised though? Maybe if they focused on major events of the week and major shifts in team rankings.
  17. 4+ WAR season for Melky.
  18. Whoever is doing this for him tries to appeal to other fanbases who might pick up on the hashtag I find this one awkward though. I suspect most Pittburgh sports fans either don't care or wish their team hadn't traded him for PTBNL. LOL. Plus it's not even the right sport.
  19. LOL, well done (Howard Roark)
  20. For Jeter though right??
  21. Probably not It's an MLB image/marketing thing Players go head to head in a polularity contest for who will be "The Face" of MLB Votto won last year
