Who is going to the game tonight? The Boys are back in town! I'm pretty excited to see McGowan throw tonight, hoping it will be a strong start toward a comeback this season. Pretty cool too that Roy is throwing out the first pitch. Who do you think will catch him? It would be fun to see Joe Carter pop out from behind a mask and surprise everyone!

If he can continue to be a solid defender then he should be fine. As long as he can up his on-base avg then I think they'll be satisfied with him. You don't need your #9 hitter to bat for power anyway. That's what EE and Joeybats are for.

I was at the State of the Franchise this year, and the new catcher-blocking-plate rule was brought up. Both Buck & Gibby joked that being able to block the plate was the main reason they were kept around. Gibby followed that with, "well that didn't even help me" (having only played 18 games in the majors). -
