  1. Prediction 1 is bold Prediction 2 is not
  2. This team has to capability of being very good They will live and die by the starting rotation performance and the health of Reyes/Lawrie/Cabrera/Bautista.
  3. There is no way the FO looked at a 6.2 ERA and that was the only reason they let him walk It was a combination of accumulated injuries, estimatikn of high risk of same in 2014, and generally poor performance without a really good season since 2010, all vs the $ cost (14.3M in this case)
  4. Jays starting rotation ERA is in the top half of the American League rather than the bottom
  5. Colby. Casey. Dickey. Love those guys too.
  6. Awesome I'm hoping they generate some excitement the first few weeks Seems like fan interest has fallen off significantly this off season. Only winning can fix that this year.
  7. In Sydney, this is early afternoon. The first game happened the night before.
  8. Puig scores Ethier thrown out at 2B after RBI single
  9. Great camera work idiots. We missed whatever people were cheering about. Dancing to Two Turntables and a Microphone??
  10. They offered it to Ervin Santana. He chose to go elsewhere.
  11. How many games does Trumbo have to fail in LF before they panic? He makes Eric Thames look like Kenny Lofton
  12. They used to have this guy, heavyset, left handed bat. He was decent.
  13. I'll admit I really waffled on it Can you imagine the s*** storm on here right now if we had promised him 14.3M this year and this was how his season was going to start? Yikes...
  14. AP - Sports PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) -- San Diego Padres pitcher Josh Johnson is expected to be out four to five weeks with a strained right forearm. Padres manager Bud Black made the announcement Saturday after a 3-all tie with the Chicago White Sox. The oft-injured Johnson was projected to be the team's fourth starter. He figured to pitch the first game of a three-game series against the Miami Marlins on April 4. Johnson, who spent the first eight years of his career with the Marlins, led the NL with a 2.30 ERA in 2010. He signed an $8 million, one-year contract with San Diego after going 2-8 with a 6.20 ERA in 16 starts for Toronto last year. Black announced the injury to Johnson after saying Ian Kennedy and Tyson Ross will follow No. 1 starter Andrew Cashner in the rotation.
  15. Great offer at his age/talent level Don't know if I believe it If it's real he should take it for sure. Unless of course it's from a a team he really doesn't want to play for.
  16. Holy s*** that's bad. Why did they trade Justin Upton again?? (how is the return, outside of Prado, looking?) And why did they trade for a DH when they needed an OF??
  17. Yep. Teams should value the player less if they wait. For one they may be less prepared. For two they lose the shot at QO retention or draft pick comp.
  18. Yep. It would be just so they avoid getting stuck in the same trap again next year.
  19. Well that's just it. Not fair to ask your all star 1B to move because you acquired a DH when you needed an outfielder.
  20. Gibby says he has "zero concern" about Reyes Oh f*** I'd rather not hear him say anything. LOL
  21. Wilner is on the radio. The team has said that Reyes was taken out of the game due to slight tightness in a hamstring.
