  1. Fine with me if it's fine with the commishes. If not, a 6th in another year would be fine too.
  2. Can someone move Eguy to my minors please? I also won't be using my final pick, so you can make it go poof.
  3. He won't be blacklisted by all teams. Someone (like the Rangers) will almost certainly be willing to run him out there if the price is right. There definitely WILL be teams who will cross him off the list though. This is going to cost him a fortune in future contracts, but he'll still be in the majors and pitching.
  4. I think I saw something about Fantrax being in the final stages of producing a new improved draft app. Hopefully all of those things will be addressed by it (but it wouldn't hurt to let them know they should be).
  5. I'm tentatively looking at Cantlay, Power, Henley, Gooch, McCarthy, and Wise. Definitely subject to change.
  6. Imagine if he replies to it!
  7. I wonder if the players would go back to that structure (ie, ALSO keeping the unlimited aspect of it). I feel like that's a rather important part as well. I suspect they probably wouldn't.
  8. Can someone move Myers to my minors please?
  9. Maybe, but it would be a pretty big gamble as an agreement theoretically could have happened quickly (you know, if idiots weren't in charge of both sides). I would guess most of the guys likely to attempt it would be ones needing to recover from bad injuries.
  10. Apparently I'm cornering the market on SP who's last name starts with "M"
  11. More to the point, there's no guarantee the players wouldn't play some or even most of the season and THEN strike. It would put the owners in a horrible position where they'd likely have to honor and cover all non-player related contracts, including stadium and broadcast ones.
  12. My lineup this week was Cantlay, Bezuidenhout, Hughes, Kuchar, Theegala, and Kodaira. Really need three of those guys to put in some work today (Hughes is off to a nice start). No one is buried at least.
  13. I honestly don't think most of the general public gives a rats ass about it right now, or even know it's happening. They're not going to care who is at fault because ultimately it changes nothing. As for a mediator, if you have someone with experience in brokering supposedly fair resolutions to disputes across all sectors and interests and you aren't willing to let him try because you might have to make concessions, then the problem is probably you. I don't think it's a bad look for the owners at all.
  14. Nestor for sure. Kim or Irvin MIGHT be marginally interesting.
  15. The players in the full season minors are putting in full-time hours and are basically only being paid for their time actually playing on the field during a game. Hollywood is different because it's basically gigs. Players don't have the freedom to pick which team they want to play for or "audition" for many different roles. I DO think it was brilliant for the Jays to increase the pay for their minor leaguers voluntarily though. I bet that will incentivize a lot of guys in the international draft who don't get the big bonuses to choose the Jays over other teams, not to mention allowing their players more time each day to develop their baseball skills rather than working additional jobs.
  16. Even if they don't have capacity limits, I'd imagine there would be a lot of people not willing to take additional risk regardless. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but watching the NBA and NHL over the past year has really sucked with so many people out of the lineups on a daily basis. I have not found it particularly enjoyable. It's like, wow this should be a great match. Wait, why is there a G League team out there? I really don't see much motivation for the owners to have a full season this year. I think the players are going to have to give in if they want to play.
  17. I really dislike singers who try to make the anthem about them and not the country.
  18. Or two days ago, or ... what was I talking about?
  19. Please leave the chickens alone Connor.
  20. Think I'll go Stars and Scrubs again, but just a $1 contest. No confidence in my picks this week. Rahm, Burns, Gooch, Spaun, Whaley, Theegala.
  21. Next argument: Should Randy Johnson get in after murdering a dove on the field?
  22. This game is great! Really good ones today.
  23. Wild end to that! When Kupp caught that at the end, they probably should have just let him score.
  24. Wow. Was not expecting that!
  25. Damn it Gooch!
