  1. I wonder if there's a rule to prevent that? That would actually be ... kind of smart ... until the fans stormed the field.
  2. Unless Ramus produces everywhere else, I'm not sure the Jays will let it go that far. I think it more likely that he'll be gone by the deadline with Gose taking over.
  3. Buffalo needs to just sign Moyer again. That'll fill a few of their old man quota slots so they can bring a young guy up.
  4. Ramon Ortiz makes Lawrie look like a monk in meditation...
  5. Not if half the game (the part where we're batting) takes a total of 30 mins to play.
  6. Atta-boy batters. Make Lester throw almost no pitches so that he can't get warmed up. /sigh
  7. I gave part of the reason after I said that. We know our coaching staff uses historical matchups when making lineups and pitching changes, so it helps us understand the reasons why certain moves were made (we don't have to agree with them, but it's nice to understand why). I also personally think that some guys just see the ball well off certain pitchers. I don't think the numbers can be completely disregarded, it's just tough to sort out what should be ignored and what might have merit because of the sample size.
  8. I find it interesting that everyone wishes we hadn't cut Carp, yet many people want us to give up on McGowan. There's some arms you just quit on unless there's a gun to your head.
  9. I actually like the historical matchups (although they're easy to look up), plus since the coaching staff definitely seems to reference them it's kind of useful in figuring out some of the moves and lineups.
  10. Looks like Chris Carpenter might pitch again this year after all. Threw 70 pitches today with no numbness.
  11. Melky tonight for me! Bautista will probably clank at least one off the monster though that would be a home run anywhere else.
  12. I wonder how the average age of the mlb umpires has changed over the last 30 or so years, and if it correlates to the bad calls?
  13. After seeing all the other recent idiocy lately, I don't think it's bias. It just feels like it for us because everything else has been going wrong lately. The upside to all of this is that perhaps it will finally get Selig to take action
  14. I'm actually more concerned about Saturday with Buchholz vs Buehrle. It'll be interesting to see Buchholz arm that game ...
  15. Wilner guesses like the rest of us. He just does it with more arrogance.
  16. Never understood why starting catchers complain to the ump about the strike zone when they're at the plate. If I was a pitcher, that would tick me off to no end.
  17. Yeah, it did.
  18. Only thing I can think of is to try taking the "http://" out of the "url on the domain" section. That's the only difference I can see, the rest looks good (assuming the rest of that domain is typed in right).
  19. Tried it again on Chrome, and it's working perfectly for me. Here's a screenshot of the settings:
  20. I think Blanco did get him, but I guess that evens out with last night. Impossible for the ump on that play.
  21. JPA is 1 for 13 against Price with 8 k's. I imagine that's the reason.
  22. I think Feliz is out until August.
  23. Are you using firefox or chrome, and which version?
