  1. It seems like the whole pen has been funky this year (and ours isn't the only one). I've wondered if it may have to do with the weighted balls, but Delabar has also struggled and he was doing it last year so...
  2. I wasn't a big fan of 1. I think 2-4 have to be taken together rather than separate, which makes them all good 5 was horrible. 6 was the awesome. From TNG, didn't like 7 (although Troi crashing the Enterprise was priceless). 8 was awesome. 9 was okay, but people compared it to the standard set in 8 imo which was unfair. Didn't like 10. I like both of the reboot ones, although I don't really like the changing history part of the reboot
  3. Oops. Brain cramp.
  4. Do they forfeit the first round picks if the picks are protected in the top 10? Ie, if they crash and burn the rest of the year and wind up with say the 5th overall pick, do they lose that? Could be a costly gamble.
  5. I was hoping Virtanen would somehow fall to me at 39
  6. Lol, that's a doozy. Drugs are bad, m'kay?
  7. I don't really care who the owners are as long as they are active (from the point of view of setting lineups and dealing with DL etc), and they don't do things designed to piss people off within the league.
  8. It seems like BR is starting to improve. Still lots of crap, the but odd article like this makes it through that makes it worth not immediately dismissing.
  9. They've really never made a major trade within the division in their entire history. There have been a handful of small ones, but only three since 2004. One was for cash, and two for a PTBNL.
  10. I'm not sure he's someone with confidence problems, but leaving him in was the right move regardless of the outcome there.
  11. The cost would probably be Stroman + Sanchez + Norris + Nolin and then some, and that's assuming that the Rays are even willing to deal within the division. Capuano would come with no trade cost and probably performs better than Happ. If the next step is then to somehow trade Happ, you'd free some cash with no loss to the team. Capuano clearly isn't the arm to put us over the top though, and no one is suggesting that he is.
  12. It looks like MLB.tv has a free trial until July 10th

Iginla 3 years, 5.3M per to Colorado.
  14. Something looks a little off with Hutch, although his stuff still looks good. Hopefully it's just something with the jersey rather than not being loose.

Miller is the only free agent goalie that I can see as an upgrade there for Vancouver. Otherwise, they should just roll with Lack and Markstrom. Either way, they desperately need scoring.
  16. It looks like in 2010 when they were sold to the Lion's owner, they wanted between 12 and 15 mil. You'd have to think the tv contracts would increase that a bit the last few years, but lack of a home without modifications might reduce it.
  17. GM's tend to have big egos, and some of them seem to have questionable intelligence. There will almost certainly be a few who will blacklist them regardless of the stakes. They'll find some excuse.
  18. It'll probably be a combination. Some GM's will probably blacklist them over it, and some will sniff blood in the water.
  19. I hope the Best doesn't have a password like Beest lol. At least we don't have to worry about someone hacking Beeston's actual computer. I'm actually kind of surprised this sort of thing hasn't happened more.
  20. Seeing someone's sleeper guy listed on a website and the guy actually making it to the majors (let alone being fantasy relevant) if a big difference. It's not hard to fill out a farm, but the chances of those guys succeeding (especially once another 120 are knocked off the board) are very slim outside of a few from the most recent draft.
  21. Keep in mind we only drafted 1/2 the prospect roster so far.
  22. Yeah, from what I've noticed in the baseball keeper leagues, the initial prospect draft has lots of interesting guys available, so having the no games restriction makes sense. In subsequent ones the drafts seem to be much weaker, so allowing for guys who have played games but not met the threshold might make sense.
  23. Yeah, I was split down the middle between taking Mantha or Reinhart at #2, so when BTS offered me the decent later pick upgrade there was nothing to lose. He got the guy he wanted, and I'm very happy with Mantha.
