  1. I think the short hop right before he got the ball threw him off a little, and probably didn't get a good grip on the ball. Still not a good throw.
  2. Rustney Castillo? He could move to CF vs lefties with Reimold in left, and Gose could play center with Castillo in left vs righties.
  3. Considering the subpar season and the fact Rasmus seems to like it here, it's also possible he'll return on a 1 year contract similar to what he got last year and hope for a year like he put up last year.
  4. Yeah, the only way he doesn't get a QO is if we extend him. I think we could see Rasmus get one as well. He's had a bad season, but the FA list at CF almost doesn't exist next year. Someone will likely pay for the home runs.
  5. I really wish Yahoo would add a setting for commissioners to mark players as unavailable so they didn't show up in the FA lists.
  6. There's no way in hell you qualify him. I love what he brings and certainly wouldn't mind him remaining a Jay, but no one in their right mind is going to pay that kind of money for an aging reliever with a bad shoulder, who relies more on intelligence and command than stuff. I can't see him getting more than 7M or 8M / year for 3 years, and that might be a player friendly deal.
  7. If he's decent, he'll never survive in the Yankees farm long enough to make it to the majors. He'll probably end up with the Marlins or something.
  8. There's a number of starters having really bad start to the day. Joe Kelly has given up 7 vs Houston (in the 3rd), and Despaign gave up 4 to St. Louis in the first. Fortunately for me, Vanland started two of them
  9. They're 11th in baseball in offensive WAR. The stadium has an effect on their raw numbers.
  10. Speaking of the Mariners, apparently Cano left with a leg injury. Anyone have any idea why Pedroia left in the Red Sox game?
  11. We all mocked them. They appeared to completely disregarded defensive metrics, played guys out of position, picked up somewhat questionable bats in the first place, etc. Somehow they started playing good (last I looked) defense and hitting. Go figure. Either Jack Z has used up a lifetime of luck or him talking at that stats conference wasn't a total joke after all.
  12. It's only for 2 weeks anyway, since he'll be back up when the rosters expand. Getting him the everyday at bats in between is probably a good idea.
  13. With the knuckleball lol. He always called breaking balls because he couldn't hit them, guess he figured he'd extend that to what he couldn't catch too.
  14. Lol, they said 55% of the crowd last night was apparently Jays fans. That must really suck for the Mariner's players. Could you imagine if we played them in the playoffs?
  15. Hard to blame Machado too much on the initial one. Everything after that is filled with fail though.
  16. Yeah, but the only other long man choice really is Nolin, and he probably needs at least one more day (plus I'm not sure we really want to burn another option on someone who may not even get into a game). At least it would be the right kind of park for Mills to pitch in.
  17. Jenkins pretty much has to go down. Delabar probably comes up, unless they want a long man.
  18. At least Felix is a righty. Gotta be thankful for the small things.
  19. Actually at this point not letting his arm cool down between innings might be a bonus. He might not get it warmed up again if it does.
  20. And Sanchez. 3 dominant innings from him too.
  21. Jenkins thought that was gone. Got really lucky there. He's seriously done though. He hadn't gone more than like 2 innings since early June or something, so asking 5 of him here today is pretty rough.
  22. Probably a tie, but I don't think it's conclusive enough to overturn.
