  1. You should just give up and send me your good players. I'll also take Domi and Pickard if you're feeling generous.
  2. They haven't posted it on proboards, so all I can see is the portion on Yahoo. There might be prospects and picks involved. The part that Yahoo shows is St. Louis and Beachemin for Boedker and Gudas.
  3. That's an EXTREMELY important negative result. It essentially killed the Expos, and I believe is badly hurting the Rays and A's.
  4. Interesting. I wondered when Goldbull was going to trade St. Louis. I really like Gudas, so I kind of like this for Goldbull. Should help both teams though. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't traded Streit to BTS yet.
  5. I wonder if there's a team out there that wants Buehrle? His salary is a bit high, but they know what they'd be getting and it would only be a 1 year commitment (plus a draft pick I'd assume). Someone is bound to have a bad injury this spring and not want a long term commitment. Shields would be an upgrade for us, and if his price really has dropped into the 15-17M range, then you could even structure it to replace Buehrle's salary this year and a drop next year when payroll is going to be tight (no need to backload it). I don't think it'll happen, but lots of possibilities of ways to be creative. There's even the Scherzer method from this year.
  6. Here's some stuff: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/anthopoulos-vision-all-hinges-on-young-pitching/
  7. A new stadium has nothing to do with MLB. I agree that we're probably looking at least 20 years from now though, probably longer.
  8. If Kane is out for the season, I think everyone else who makes the playoffs should be giving me their 1st round draft pick
  9. I almost feel bad about it. I really did have no idea, neither did I initiate the trade talks. The rotoworld notes are insane on the whole mess: First he was a healthy scratch, then they say he was scratched for violating the dress code, then he was visiting the team doctors, then he apparently got into an altercation with his teammates (who apparently threw his violating clothes into the shower to send a message). The upside for JFaS, is that if (when by the sounds of it) he's traded, he probably turns into a complete monster on a top offensive line.
  10. Sounds pretty damn good to me!
  11. I'm actually not sure they'd make any money on it, by the time they paid for all the staff to support the broadcast. It should help build interest though.
  12. MLB really should make all spring games televised and free.
  13. Huh. I swear I had no idea. The last thing I saw said he missed the last game because he arrived in street clothes and broke the team dress code.
  14. Yeah, I have him as well. I'm a bit concerned about playing time, but assuming he gets it and the injury doesn't cause too much trouble, I expect him to bounce back.
  15. If it was me, and I say this not knowing your roster, I probably would have traded one of your other outfielders who was in demand for a higher end pitcher, and kept Moss who I'd imagine would perform similarly.
  16. They have a few tasty relievers I wouldn't mind us getting our hands on Alburquerque and Rondon in particular, but Krol could be somewhat interesting as well.
  17. Assuming that's Henderson Alvarez you gave up with the pick (and I like Hendo), I can say that there's no way in hell anyone is getting Moss from me for a package like that. Really good deal for you imo. I can't even imagine what the lowball offers were.
  18. I think I've owned Moss in every single one of my leagues the last two years. The second half injuries he tried to play through last year depressed his numbers, but he was 148 wRC+ in the first half before they hit. He's a monster, and massively underrated in fantasy.
  19. Yeah, and shots. If he gets moved to a *real* team, he's going to be a beast. I'm really sad to trade him (I had no intention of doing it), but I felt this was a deal I would regret saying no to. Now I'm really hoping Lazar misses a few games this year so I don't have to protect him on my 15 keeper list in the off-season.
  20. I think LaCava somehow managed to say less than AA usually does.
  21. I can't believe Hansbrough didn't get a technical there.
  22. And he got 1.5M if he makes the club and 1.5M in incentives. Yikes.
  23. That was a great move too.
  24. Lots of them are apparently already there. The mandatory dates for pitchers and catchers is the 22nd, and for position players the 26th. First workout is a day after those dates.
