MLB actively monitoring the new RC turf

The last time the turf was replaced, there was a lot of rubber kicking up all the time too initially. It took a month or so to settle down if I remember right. This is nothing different than in the past. The only issue is whether there are unusual bounces (like that chopper in front of the plate the other day), or what happens in the summer when it gets really warm. -
Of all the times to NOT enter a tournament, I had to pick tonight. My FD 50/50 lineup scored 48.75 points. Not a winning score I'm sure, but should have placed nicely.

Interesting. In my tourney, Harvey is only 30% owned (really?). In my 50/50, he's 69% owned.

People may find this kind of useful. Unfortunately, FD apparently uses their own player id (seriously, why???), but at least you can easily match something like data from gameday (pitch fx database for example) to fangraphs data or projections without errors. http://crunchtimebaseball.com/baseball_map.html

What I really want is just the average min point totals to place in 50/50 and tournaments each day. I haven't been able to find anywhere that has that data. Rotoguru has historical player salary for the current year (although past years would be helpful).

I like it. It should dramatically help our defense, and since we're a team built around the home run, might not hurt our offense that much. -
That approach by Travis is so incredible for a young player. Short stroke, takes what he's given. For the love of god, someone get restraining orders against Cito and Murphy for him, just in case.

I'm not sure what to make of that. Van Slyke can certainly do a number on lefties, but Paxton is a pretty nasty one.

I'd imagine the pitcher would just step off, then the catcher would block the sign from the batter with their mitt, if it is allowed. That, and a fastball to the ribs.

If I remember right, he's kind of like Zaun. Great when he talks about actual game fundamentals, horrible if he talks about stats.

I lost both 50/50's this morning (and it wasn't even close). Barring something extreme here in the 9th, I'm going to win my evening one. So much offense today by popular players made it really tough.
