Mine is pissing me off too. I wanted a decent shot at the #1 pick, and expected to be competitive for it this year. Unfortunately, I'm too honest to deliberately tank, so I actually set my lineups. Another good week and I might actually be buying at the deadline...

If Smoak hits his Steamer projections, he should be fine (or at least playable). For whatever it's worth, this career road numbers are almost exactly his Steamer projections, so it's not far fetched (especially when you consider the number of extra games he played in Oakland and Anaheim). If he sucks, we can rotate guys through the DH and probably get similar production. Really not a big deal. As for A-Rod, he has 10/5 rights. Who knows if he'd even be willing to waive them to be a DH. He might prefer to sit back and tick off the Yankees lol. If he was willing to, and the Yankees paid all but like 1M, maybe. edited: Oh god, I'm agreeing with TwistedLogic...

Unless someone else has bid quite a bit more, it seems weird that he'd be having to think about it so long if that kind of offer really is on the table at this point. I guess we'll find out in the next day or so. -
If I didn't have the goal tending stats wrapped up this week, I'd be rather pissed at my goalie playing the entire game and only facing 10 shots. Seriously, how does that even happen? (oh, Buffalo)

I'm not sure how much they actually do, but if he comes cheap enough they could trade Cashner for likely a good haul and keep Shields. -

Apparently the two sides are now at an impasse, only an hour after it was reported to be a virtual lock. I think the only thing to read right now is that both sides have some interest (along with likely a few other teams). Everything else is just click bait. -

Nothing wrong with that. Most people don't like a lot of my trades either (often you). I have a tendency to look to give up a return that I think is fair based on my valuations, but often don't take into account the market value of the asset enough. I think you did a bit of that here.
