  1. Yeah, I get that. Theo has a right to keep him in the minors if he wants to, just as Bryant and Boras have the right to raise hell over it. This is something that really needs to get changed by MLB though. Unless there's something really funky in his contract, I don't think he's being paid millions yet (at least not by his employer, he probably has some nice merchandising deals). MiLB players don't usually get a whole lot.
  2. I really dislike Boras in general, but in this case he and Bryant have absolutely every right to blow up over this.
  3. Kind of cool little infographic:
  4. Lol, 23 goals and 22 assists this week. Where was this back when it would have mattered for me?
  5. Sent you a trade offer via Fantrax for the LOD. Not sure if you have them automatically notify your email or not.
  6. Yeah, for me it's Heaney >> Martinez > Odorizzi.
  7. Rondon is interesting. Good stuff, expected to be a future closer. His weight has to be a little worrying though, and I kind of wonder how his stuff will hold up longer term unless he gets it down a bit.
  8. I picked him up in the PL 3 days ago, so I think he's been a FA for a bit now.
  9. Sanchez had 100 in the minors and 33 in the majors. Norris added 6 more in the majors as well.
  10. The value would be keeping them in the minors and stretched out in case of injuries. That's probably more valuable than the likely very marginal upgrade they might provide over Drabek in the pen.
  11. I would have liked to see how Drabek would do in relief.
  12. I really don't want to see Hutch diving for balls in spring training ...
  13. "The three is the key" ... is that like "the bird is the word"?
  14. The reports on Travis have been good bat, questionable defense I believe. There doesn't seem to be any reason to believe he won't hit, so if he's made improvements in the defense, he should have a good year. It'll be interesting to see how he handles the turf in Montreal though.
  15. Everyone knows Rogers doesn't really pay market rates to the Jays for the broadcasting and stuff, not to mention all the other promotional stuff. They wouldn't be maintaining our payroll at the current levels if they really were losing that kind of money.
  16. Plus Inciarte put up 2.8 WAR last year in about 3/4 of a season, but he didn't hit for power etc and can actually run down balls, so the D-Backs are probably ready to cut him
  17. I think so, both offensively and defensively. In a lot of ways I'd kind of prefer just keeping Navarro for the year, but if we do something stupid like keep Thole around anyway, then we might as well get a piece that can actually help us rather than clog up the bench with catchers.
  18. Navarro for Inciarte, we pay salary difference? He'd be a great 4th outfielder / bench weapon. Basically a lefty version of Rajai Davis with great defense.
  19. There's no downside to setting your lineup.
  20. Just for King (couldn't resist): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnIDfneBstU
  21. King having those two defensemen sit is a real killer for him. Who has the tiebreak in that matchup anyway?
  22. Does the waiver wire priority reset each year, or is it carried forward?
  23. This is ugly
