  1. I'll give you the #1 overall pick for Honeywell. That solves my dilemma on who to pick, and yours on how to protect him
  2. Sportsnet ticker just said we have significant interest in him.
  3. This is excellent. And for crying out loud, can we please get rid of Carrera asap??? He's been in the league for parts of seven seasons, and still doesn't know which f***ing base to throw to.
  4. Really no different than the other leagues (except LOD). This arrangement just gives a little more flexibility heading into the season. I do think we should allow unlimited MiLB during the seasons too though, while still forcing the limits at the two cut downs. I don't see any reason why this would be bad realistically.
  5. If I traded Salazar, the #2 pick would be a sweetener, not the main attraction.
  6. I think it'll be hard to find someone willing to give up a good, young pitcher for the #2. The guy you're giving up probably has the same upside as the guy you draft, but you'll have to wait a few years to know for sure. A player in his early 30s I could see though. That said, if someone thinks they have a fit, I'd be interested in a 3-way. There's 2 guys I want with the first overall selection, and I really don't want to choose between them.
  7. If I remember right, one year I drafted a good pitcher in a redraft that literally went on the DL less than 24 hours later. I guess I need to start taking boring older pitchers and stop chasing youth there. At least I can't be blamed for Thor. Even in this league, I'm without Salazar, Triggs, Sanchez, Skaggs, Wheeler right now (plus Heaney who I knew would be out but didn't want to drop since I was rebuilding). I wonder if going all bats and streaming the crap out of guys would actually be a viable strategy for me? Screw the rate stats.
  8. Oh, I like the deal for you. There's just a long standing (and disturbingly accurate) joke about any pitcher I own instantly turning into an operating theatre exhibit.
  9. I have Snell in the BBDL. Jimcanuck is screwed.
  10. For whatever it's worth, ESPN is calling it the steal of the draft.
  11. Just a one or two day waiting period before you can post on a new account should be sufficient to curb a lot of it. I'm sure the people that do this probably post on thousands of boards a day. I doubt they want to keep track of usernames and passwords for multiple days. If it is automated, the code may not be able to handle a delay properly either.
  12. I like both of those trades for you (You should have hit accept on the Bregman one immediately imo).
  13. He sat Donaldson all week against me in the PL too.
  14. For these types of deals, probably not much point in trying to mask any of it. I think if a bigger name was auctioned, it would be different.
  15. They really need to move one of the Florida teams, and since one has a newer stadium, it should probably be the Rays. Both have horrible attendance though.
  16. I think the bigger issue is just the small number of players playing the vast majority of a game. That one elite player like a MJ, Lebron, Curry, Shaq, etc has such a massive impact. At least in games like hockey, those stars play 30-40% of the game (except goalies).
  17. Mancini is kinda interesting, but I don't have room for him.
  18. Alonso, Smoak, LoMo. This year has been a really weird one with 1st baseman breaking out suddenly.
  19. I'd consider trading Triggs. Open to young MLB or MiLB assets, on or off the DL. Santiago Casilla is also available if someone is looking to add a few saves.
  20. What are the FA rules in this league again, is it they're eligible after they make their first appearance?
  21. I have a feeling Grilli is tipping his pitches. He's certainly leaving some in the middle of the plate too, but they were basically on every type of pitch like they knew what was coming.
  22. My trade with JG34 has my 3rd and 4th rounders (milb) going to him.
  23. Let's hope he keeps it up. I really, really want him gone.
  24. We are playing the Yankees. You never know. Good, they got it right.
  25. Huh, so we did for the MiLB draft last year, but not the waiver draft. That just ... huh.
