  1. It's never okay to suggest something like that, regardless of how big an ******* the guy appears to be. Just add him to you ignore list like everyone else does.
  2. I thought I must have heard it wrong lol.
  3. A lot of potential there. Maybe a new owner will be able to actually do something with it.
  4. I think Thomas is also a free agent in 2018, so they're basically trading 2 years of Kyrie for one of Thomas. That's probably the reason for the difference.
  5. I'm not sure that cost us a challenge. Usually Gibby just indicates a challenge, doesn't talk to the ump first who then signals it. It might have been an ump challenge, not a manager one.
  6. Did they just say Gibby told Martin he'd allow him to play at short before the end of the season?
  7. Archer is kinda fun to watch on the mound. You can see how much he enjoys the game.
  8. That was one hell of a quick toss by the ump. I mean, Pillar should have kept his mouth shut, but it's not like he was showing the ump up.
  9. You probably wouldn't need to rest him before his start if he's DHing. I could definitely see him not hitting for at least the day after his start though. Really hard to say. He could be the first real legit test case in a very long time.
  10. He'll be fairly cheap for his initial contract. A rebuilding team should be able to realistically do so, especially if it's an AL team with a DH. Or a crazy team like Seattle, who would probably put in in CF.
  11. Hard to say. He seems to have been pretty clear that signing will be contingent on being allowed to do both. Given that basically everyone will probably offer the max to talk to him, he can choose a team that will guarantee him that.
  12. He might only qualify as a pitcher or hitter, but not both. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it.
  13. The Dodgers aren't allowed to give him more than 300K, are they?
  14. MLB isn't going to change the rules for him. I don't know how the process works though, in terms of when an extension could be signed (or how long it would take before it would be seen as circumvention of the rules and disallowed). I would imagine he would sign with them for the min allowed under the terms of their penalty for a 1 year deal, then they would have a handshake agreement for a new deal when that one ran out. The sponsorship deals he may be able to get could probably more than make up for monetary difference. I suppose they could also put an agreement in place with another team who could sign him, then trade him to them midseason.
  15. Probably not a big deal either way.
  16. Why are you even listening to him?
  17. Depending what happens in the next 2 weeks standings wise, we probably stick to guys on the 40 already (it's already a little sketchy as is, so I don't think we want to add guys to it if we don't have to). Dwight Smith, Teoscar Hernandez, Borucki, Biagini (if not before), Campos would be my guess. Maybe Saunders too.
  18. Smoak really got under that, didn't think it was gonna go. Big hit!
  19. With the way he pulls the ball on his throws, he could aim for 1B and maybe get it to 2nd sidearm.
  20. Probably more of one now that you said something. That was pretty stupid.
  21. Yeah, that was weird. I kinda get both sides. Dickerson should have been ready, but at the same time, you don't want to see a batter not expecting a pitch, then having one at their head or something.
  22. It seems like he has trouble finding the plate at all to lefties, and throws too many strikes down the middle to righties. He needs to pretend they're the opposite or something.
  23. He wouldn't help much at SS, but Jed Lowrie would be a nice fit. Dee Gordon is another possibility, although who knows what the new ownership group is gonna do.
  24. Gallo now has 10 home runs in his last 14 games. The Ks are real, but man can he hit them out.
  25. LMAO! http://www.espn.com/blog/new-york/yankees/post/_/id/96908/navigating-nyc-in-pinstripes-yankees-rookies-ride-the-subway-and-get-completely-lost
