  1. I wonder how many other guys have had both more home runs AND more walks than singles in a season? Bonds did it in 2001.
  2. Maybe. Gallo might have something to say about it too though.
  3. The only thing I really don't like is when they rail on advanced stats, while clearly not understanding them. Otherwise, I'd take them any day over some of the announcers on other teams. Some of them will talk about other stuff for entire innings while completely ignoring the game.
  4. He's from Texas, isn't he? Could definitely be something bad from the flooding.
  5. No, I don't (not edit access)
  6. They do indeed.
  7. Yeah, it's under general settings.
  8. Glad they weren't stupid enough to give him a pitch. There could be a small fracture or something.
  9. I think most of us in the league are basically casual when it comes to hockey.
  10. The Malkin fantasy curse!
  11. Ichiro when he came over perhaps? Bonds in his unbelievable years maybe, but probably not when he first came up.
  12. Yes, but can he stand long enough for them to have a conversation, or will he accuse them of unfair argument etiquette?
  13. They'll just break his heart. Pitchers suck.
  14. They should bunt on him every at bat until the Yankees do something about it after that.
  15. Reilly Smith, Ryan Strome, Vatanen, Holden, Brown or Pageau, Bozak, Budaj are available from me. Will consider others. Would like to add some goals, as I'm a little lacking (but overloaded with assists). Would also like to add a legit #1 goalie.
  16. I wouldn't be opposed to us picking up Verlander, as long as it's a salary dump and we don't have to include a good prospect too. He's expensive, but he eats innings and is still pretty good (just not elite anymore). It is worth noting that his fastball velocity has actually ticked up this year too, the highest it's been since 2011. He'd look really good alongside Stro and Sanchez in the rotation next year.
  17. We should have someone start a BJMB YouTube channel that we can upload videos to that members take of the prospects.
  18. That was done a few days ago, although some players may not be on rosters if they aren't in the database (Nichushkin for me, for example)
  19. No, my point is I don't think Yahoo lets you start the league until after the keeper date (and we should have a few day's warning on that to facilitate trades).
  20. Need to set a date for people to set their keepers by first I think.
  21. Yeah, worth taking a look at him, but he's clearly not the solution.
  22. In a lot of ways, his next season was even more impressive. 32.4% walk rate, 7.7% k rate (giving him an absurd .582 obp).
  23. I think Zobrist would make some sense. He's still a neutral to plus defender, and can play both 2nd and OF (other positions in a pinch). The Cubs really don't need him anymore, and would probably be just as happy to drop the salary. After his injury riddled summer which destroyed his numbers, he's starting to hit again.
