  1. His K rates in the minors were fine (and a lot better than some of the hot prospects today). The problem was when he reached the majors, he decided he had to pull everything and walks were the devil.
  2. I think I drafted him in the LOD back in 2016. I think I might have traded him, but not positive.
  3. Fanduel.
  4. I had only entered one of the small 25 cent tournaments (given that I did no research and don't follow football very much, I figured I had no shot but it makes the game more fun to watch). I did place though, although not by much.
  5. The Gronk drive lol.
  6. Wow, Cooks got pasted!
  7. CTV has a superbowl contest: https://www.ctv.ca/NFL/SuperBowlContest
  8. I may be higher on those guys than a lot of people are. It doesn't really matter anyway, because I can't see that kind of deal being done at this point in the offseason, and with planning on contending this year anyway.
  9. I wouldn't mind Corbin Burnes and Corey Ray as the headliners.
  10. Thank God for the 2nd unit today.
  11. We're making some beautiful passes early on.
  12. I agree, but Granderson probably is more valuable getting most of the at-bats there (with his defense, possibly even versus lefties), and we've never used Pearce as we expected. I mean, he never even got a single inning at 2nd last year with all the crap we were running out there, and it appears he certainly won't be next year with the improvement in depth. I just think his salary is more valuable to us given how it appears we'll use him.
  13. I don't really want to pay $6M for the wrong side of a platoon (which seems his likely use), for a guy who seemed to really regress defensively the last year (plus a bit in 2016) there. Might as well use Carrera for that, and put his salary to use elsewhere.
  14. Yeah, I suspect we'll probably end up clearing Pearce's salary before the season starts, which would help a tiny bit at least.
  15. It certainly doesn't solve everything, but it does help tie younger players salary to performance a little better while still protecting team control. It would help if the arbitration amount could also decrease (although only by a small percentage) as well as increase. Maybe instead of one year at min salary, you give a fixed number of games at which time it immediately goes to arbitration for the remaining games that year or something.
  16. Keep it the 22nd. Having someone load up / sell immediately before the playoffs hits is just silly imo.
  17. Raps were 11 for 19 from the three in the half ...
  18. I think my prediction was the 6th or something, so a few more days to go
  19. I agree (it's not necessarily such a bad idea in our dynasty leagues either imo). Also, allow the picks to be traded.
  20. I would say a better approach would be to add arbitration years, but make arbitration start after the first year a player appears for more than (say) 50 games. So maybe have 6 years of control, but 5 of those years are arbitration.
  21. I'm pretty happy with my team. Now if I'd stop having really s***** matchup luck, I'd be golden.
  22. OMG, not the time to miss for Kyle.
  23. I wouldn't mind Carlos Ruiz. He doesn't frame well, but is otherwise well above average defensively and would only take a cheap one year deal I'd assume.
  24. The Black Panther / Raptors intro video was actually pretty cool.
  25. Yeah lol, better would be that I hope he signs with the O's, then has his contract voided like all other free agents they try to sign.
