    Actually, surprisingly, there's one or two somewhat interesting things in his feed: Sounds like he was watching video of Joe Smith, and is going to occasionally incorporate a new arm slot when he wants to throw a different look at the batters.

    To be fair, there's probably lots of players exactly the same who just don't post on social media constantly, so we don't hear about it. I do kinda wish he was the one who hired Boras instead of Sanchez though.

    I almost feel like he went to arbitration because he WANTED to feel like everyone was against him.

    I kinda feel like if we sign Liriano, it would be as a starter rather than in the pen. I wouldn't be opposed to either though.

    Agreed, sticking him in our lineup would make it suddenly look a hell of a lot better.

    Worse case they just take him to arbitration for three years. It's really not that big a deal. We're definitely not gonna be able to extend him though.

    I don't think it's necessary to care about the unranked prospects. They'll move up eventually if they're good, just like in real life.

    Trea Turner seems WAAAAYYYY too high to me, especially for redraft. I guess these rankings must be for 5x5, given where Billy Hamilton is.

    Yeah, I think so. But a 110 wRC+ and 3 WAR I think is definitely a possibility.

    If Tulo bounces back to his predictions for next year (2.5 WAR assuming reasonable health), even his contract is probably break even.

    I'm not sure I'd want to give up Wright either. I think Powell and Siakam would be the two best choices. Maybe you could look at trading Ibaka, and letting Poeltl take that position if you really need to free up money, but then you're probably committed to keeping JV for the foreseeable future.

    Even if his body trended in the direction of Fielder (which seems unlikely to THAT degree), his bat is probably projecting similar atm and he would likely be better defensively. That's still 200+ home runs, close to a .300 average, and at least 20 something WAR before he hits free agency. As long as we didn't extend him, we'd come out way on top. Hopefully he keeps the weight under control and blows that out of the water
