    It's a good explanation though. It's too bad they didn't give an option to allow one additional roster spot to be assigned to the team if they own both versions.

    I wonder if the Giants are trying to free payroll space to sign JD, now that they failed on Stanton?

    They could probably move Travis to the OF. It might keep him healthier if he isn't continually diving and landing on his knees.

    Not necessarily bad. Some nodes (I think) don't respond to the pings. If there was something really problematic in terms of delay, you'd likely still capture it if I understand it right. If that's working okay and similarly on both, then you can move on to looking at other things. It could be the site itself, but you shouldn't get the variation you are if it is. Maybe some ad is killing things. If you open the developer tools (chrome or firefox), you can reload the page and see what's taking the time to load.

    You may as well just resign Bautista and hope his swing tweaks are real.

    Try pinging the site at home and at work (go to command prompt, type in ping bluejaysmessageboard.com). That will give you the round trip times with nothing else going on that could affect it. If they're wildly different, then try tracing it (tracert bluejaysmessageboard.com), and see if it takes roughly the same path. This will help you either point at or eliminate the things outside of your control.

    Yeah, me too (or probably Reyes), but I don't see it happening. I'd probably do something like Flaherty, Bader, and a wildcard like Gomber though.

    Kohl Stewart could be an interesting selection for the pen.

    I doubt it. I think our front office would go quality over quantity, plus they're not in a position where they HAVE to sell.

    In theory we could use a Donaldson return to get Yelich essentially, without touching Vladdy or Bichette. I'd rather take on a bad contract instead, but that's always a possibility. 1 year of Donaldson for 5 cheap years of Yelich would be fantastic.

    How can that even be a question? I love the idea of Ozuna, but Yelich is in a different tier (plus controllable/under contract for 5 years)

    Cargo is a 95 wRC+ player in his career away from Coors and a significantly negative defender. I guess if he came cheap enough it could be worth taking a flier, but this really IS dumpster diving. I'd be just as happy signing Ethier I think.

    Avisail has only had one good year (last year). Prior to that he was a negative WAR player in his previous 5 seasons/partial seasons. Ozuna has never been a negative player, and in his 4 full years 2 have been at 3.9 WAR or higher, plus his partial rookie season where he was roughly on that same pace. They are nowhere near the same. Ozuna would be an incredible get for us. Definitely worth taking someone like Chen for.

    Powell might be one of the worst guys I've ever seen at completing layups in the NBA. He really, really needs to work on that.

    It looks like reliever contracts are going to be inflated this off-season (maybe due to a weak free agent crop?). If we did rebuild, we could probably get a ransom for Osuna.
