Yeah, but now I've got other guys to sell after adding more lol.
For Sale:
Renfroe, Heaney, Zack Wheeler, Tulo, Wilmer Flores, Cotton, Mahtook, Vogt, Mesoraco, Lorenzen, Zych, Casey Gillaspie.
Yeah, this is what I think too. I'd love to be wrong, just because it would be really fun to watch. At least he can leave the bat in the minors until we know.
Very high imo, and that's assuming Ohtani is healthy. He might struggle with wins a little though as Tampa kinda retools beyond their normal retooling.
We need four replacement managers for the BBDL (a 20 team dynasty league entering its 5th season). There will be a dispersal draft for the assets of the outgoing teams, and some of they are stacked so there's plenty of talent available. Please let us know if you are interested!
There were rumors of a scenario that had us eating a contract, wasn't there? Assuming that was Chen, which seems likely, Morales probably would have been headed in the opposite direction.
Really different for everyone. IMO the top 2 or 3 waiver picks may be 1st round MiLB pick level depending on who is available, but then after that there tends not to be a lot of talent differentiation in the waiver draft.
Based on other reports (them apparently asking for Bo AND Vlad earlier), it's also possible that they really don't like Bo or Alford. That might have had more to do with it than anything else.
That's how I kinda read it too, but the flexibility IS there that it should still be a possibility. They could have been after Ozuna or someone else, and then taken a few days for the other deals to shake out.
I think the team is very clearly better for the next year or two by doing that.
The Giants would make sense as a trading partner for Pillar. The Cubs might too as he'd be an upgrade over Almora probably, but they already have a bit of an outfield glut. Cleveland makes sense, but there's no way they'd do it for Salazar. Maybe to the Royals for someone like Jake Junis? Maybe to the Pirates for Nova?
The Braves could be a good destination for Pearce. Pearce seems like the kind of guy Seattle would target for CF...
