    I lost 4 bats and a pitcher last night . Not what I needed when trying to actually make a somewhat unlikely playoff push.

    It was a very difficult decision, but I feel like this gives me the best chance of success. I may be a little higher on Mahle and Meadows than a lot of people are though. If it was just for deGrom and not Lester as well, I would have taken yours.

    There's hockey players that have in the playoffs. Linden played in the finals with several broken ribs, Modano with a broken wrist. Pretty sure a number have with broken feet.

    The front office should tweet before the game that they're petitioning the league to allow the team most represented in the stands to be the home team regardless of stadium THAT would get the rivalry going!

    New top bid for deGrom (by himself). Two potentially higher end MLB ready prospect bats, 1 mostly MLB ready prospect bat with upside, 3 somewhat decent MLB ready arms with upside. Wouldn't mind creating some space for this or other trades, so if you have something in mind that doesn't involve Betts, Turner, or Snell, let me know.

    Okay, I've gotten an offer regarding deGrom that, while I think it's a bit light, I can probably grumble a bit and live with so I'll put him up with that as a starting bid. You can bid on him separately, or together with someone like Lester, closers, etc. If you want to bid on Lester by himself you can also do so, but it won't be an auction unless I get a good offer to start it off. The auction will end Sunday night at midnight. My preference is prospects/younger players close to the majors, or just breaking in, but I'll consider other possibilities too. Top offer: deGrom + Lester + cut prospects for top 10 prospect, potentially high end young hitter in the MLB, lower end SP with upside.

    I'd say give him tomorrow afternoon just in case he's drunk or something. Otherwise I agree, we need to replace him quickly in the leagues for both the playoff race and trade deadline.

    Apparently he tried to throw earlier today and it didn't go well, probably isn't available tonight.

    I don't think so. They said the reason he didn't start the game was to make it a little less stressful after a hectic few days. That doesn't suggest a one and DFA type situation to me.

    Reyes became the second person in history to hit multiple home runs a day after giving up multiple home runs.

    Reyes comes off the bench after an injury and hits 2 home runs today. Definitely not among the things I expected to see.
