  1. Yeah, I think it pretty much has to be Anderson, Merryweather, or maybe even Ben Taylor. Given they hinted strongly that it's a player that fits well with our AA and AAA guys, and that I'm not sure Taylor is an exciting enough relief prospect for it to be him, Merryweather is really the only guy that makes sense. I guess it could be Plutko, but he seems more like shuttle fodder to me.
  2. Thames in the 2nd half has a 39 wRC+ and a 46.1% K rate. Yikes!
  3. He's played like 2 (rehab games) since May or whatever. There's no conspiracy, he really does need the couple weeks.
  4. I very strongly doubt it. If he's healthy, they'll give him every chance to regain his 2016 form.
  5. I think he still would have just missed. He needed Rondon to have the clean inning and I THINK it would have flipped OBA
  6. It all came down to a Rondon walk lol.
  7. Cole is really, really getting squeezed.
  8. Ohtani just reached for a hard hit grounder with his bare hand (only got a piece of it). I wonder how many Angels execs are on their way to the hospital right about now?
  9. I didn't see Rondon, but he could also flip K/BB the other way.
  10. Ohtani just hit 98 mph.
  11. So best as I can tell, if Correa can flip SLG tonight (I'm 0.003 back), then P2F goes through. Otherwise jaysblue goes through. I can feel the powah!
  12. I don't think there was one.
  13. 6 of 9 people in our contest today would have cashed in the mini-max!
  14. I'd say someone like Eovaldi would be a good target. Probably doesn't get more than 3 years, and would slot in well behind Sanchez and Stroman.
  15. Most likely Sanchez, Stroman, Borucki, Reid-Foley, and a reclamation project we can flip at the deadline if they pitch well. Maybe they give Pannone the 5th spot, but I think it'll be someone outside the organization. We're realistically probably a year away from filling it internally.
  16. It's probably just noise. Jansen does do a weird thing with his glove right prior to the pitch though, moving it a lot (I think to relax his hand), which may be a distraction for some pitchers.
  17. He said they believe one of Grichuk, Teoscar, Drury likely breaks out similar to Edwin or JB (maybe not quite to that level).
  18. I had to modify mine because of that too.
  19. Steamer projects him as a sub 4 FIP in the majors right now (assuming he was able). The BAT (for whatever it's worth) projects him mid 3.5's.
  20. Why, because of his age? His results have been very good. Also he apparently revamped his delivery in 2016, and is now sitting mid 90s with the ability to reach back for more, average or better secondary stuff. Knocks against him seem to be a fastball that lacks life.
  21. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?game_pk=531446&type=exit_velocity&chart_view=pitch&chart_type=sbp&inning=&count=&batter_hand=&pitcher_hand=&filter= 106.4 mph, 411 feet.
  22. That pretty much guarantees it won't happen.
  23. It pretty much has to be Merryweather or Anderson. I still think it'll be Anderson, but I'd prefer Merryweather so I hope I'm wrong.
  24. That home run was a big DFS swing for me Regardless of the home run though, Norris has looked great.
