    My team isn't really in a place where that kind of move makes sense atm. If I was a clear playoff contender, I would have been all over it.

    I'm not sure, but I think there's a few trades that weren't processed at the deadline either.

    I'm not sure there's a right answer. The fact you need to flip two categories might make the OBP and K/BB more important than flipping K's. Who holds the tie break?

    I'm not sure I'd go that far, but I'm definitely going to miss him. He does a fantastic job of managing the players and personalities (and media), not so much in terms of in-game decisions imo.

    If a team is gonna insist everyone is a plus athlete (and a good hitter), they're probably gonna have a 300+ million payroll. If a lot of teams do that, the other ones are going to clean up on cheap players who provide more surplus value than the good athletes do.

    Dunno, he's had 3 pretty good years in a row now. Nothing really seems to scream regression to me. Heck, in a year or so when the Marlins trade him he could end up in a good hitting park and have his value skyrocket. He has a career 127 wRC+ on the road.

    I love that. I'd love to see Martin be the next manager, but I think he still wants to play a few years. I wonder what it would cost us to acquire Kevin Cash?

    Every time I think of an Italian restaurant, I think of a particular Seinfeld episode... Wish I hadn't seen that one.

    I think we can all see that he's not a good fielder. With WAR though, keep in mind that it doesn't use the new statcast data. It looks at things like total chances, but not at whether the fielder had any hope in hell of actually making the play. It's the best tool we've got, but it's by no means perfect.

    There's 17 pitchers with at least 20 PA who have a higher average than he does (that's AS a pitcher, so I guess there's 18)

    Man, Goff couldn't improve on those last 2 touchdown throws if he wanted to.

    It would make sense to leave it open until the offseason rosters are input in the spreadsheet. Otherwise it's just more work to check and see transactions (for whoever gets the grunt work).

    Good way to climb higher on that scale too. He may not have the neurons to spare. I have to think the plan is to rebuild his value, then trade him next deadline.

    I don't know about ace, but I could agree with above average.

    Biggest thing I remember about Woody was a commercial where he was in a canoe dressed as a maiden, being serenaded by a mountie (I think). Then there was something about him being hit in the head, so he'll be fine. Full props for being willing to do that one!
