    It was good, but it's the offspeed stuff that's really deadly for Kershaw. That'll help him play at lower velocity more than it would for other pitchers.

    Good thing this is a preseason game. Lowry looks absolutely awful.

    Well, I mean that's great and all. In this ideal world no one ever gets injured, plays every game, and a bench isn't necessary. In real life, not so much. You have to fill out a roster because, well, you need it over the course of a year.

    Some of those guys on the rosters are filler, not legit prospects where you worry about them not getting playing time.

    I hope the Yankees never win again until the get rid of that ridiculous short porch. At least Boston compensates for theirs with a massive wall.

    I've never understood why the fans are allowed to be so close anyway, especially with balls in the rough. Having said that, common sense would suggest to me not to pick a spot where there's a chance of getting hit by a ball with no time to react. I really don't think the course should be held liable.

    Might as well, the Yankees pen is stacked even if they burn one or two here. They do have the offense to get back into it. The bigger issue was probably not using a reliever to get out of the Severino jamb. This is where Lynn should have been used, not bringing him in with runners on base.

    I'm sure he could be, but he'd probably be on significant pitch and innings restrictions. They'll likely bring him along slowly, and we'll see him in the 2nd half.

    Miley has been doing that to a lot of teams this year. His peripherals aren't great, but he's been getting results.

    I don't mind that, but maybe the batter shouldn't get a base if all it hits is jersey.
