  1. You'd kinda think if Fangraphs is serious about pushing a social agenda, they'd add stats for the various women's leagues...
  2. Ouch, Markstrom giving up those 4 quick goals was NOT what I needed.
  3. I guess it's spring and it doesn't really matter, but lol umps. Thank God for video replay in the regular season.
  4. This game is really dragging ...
  5. Lol, that pitch wasn't THAT far up and in.
  6. To Spanky: MiLB 109 To Abomination: Waiver 96
  7. That was interesting. They said Biggio got in a car accident a few days ago (he's fine), and one of the first people to see it and stop to help was Alford. Alford didn't know it was Biggio who was involved until he got out.
  8. Ugh, the feed from DK's live scoring is ahead of my satellite tv feed
  9. LMFAO! Joe Kelly is currently in the lead for strangest spring training injury: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2824621-joe-kelly-suffered-back-injury-from-standing-too-long-while-cooking-cajun-food?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
  10. Yes. There was an option to ignore those games, but that's not really fair to anyone with players in them. I blame MLB more than Yahoo.
  11. Lol, I can't recall seeing a team call a timeout 19 seconds into a quarter (with no injuries) before.
  12. Probably, but there's no harm in running the experiment and seeing what the results are. I don't like banning the shift, but I don't have a problem with restricting it a bit. Maybe require at least 2 infielders on each side of the 2nd base bag when the ball is released or something. It would just reduce the exaggeration of the shifts we see, but would still allow them to be used (along with still allowing 4 outfielder or 5 infielder configurations).
  13. Apparently MLB's Atlantic League experiment consists of : Using TrackMan to assist umpires in calling balls and strikes Banning the infield shift 3 batter minimum for pitchers No mound visits except for pitching changes and injuries Increasing the size of the bases by 3 inches Reducing the time between innings by 30 seconds 2nd half of the season will see the pitching rubber moved to 62'6.
  14. Alford has a pair of homers.
  15. It came from this: https://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/25-A-Very-Darrelly-Dynasty-League?p=1335790&viewfull=1#post1335790
  16. My remaining waiver picks + MiLB 89 to JimCanuck for MiLB 65.
  17. I'm full, so I guess my picks can be skipped. Wish the A's would hurry up and put Manaea on the DL.
  18. Lol, Steven Wright got busted for taking growth hormone. That's gotta be about the dumbest thing ever for a knuckleballer.
  19. Nice start to the day for Sanchez.
  20. What if they were to go further and expand it to something like 27, but the final two slots were bonus roster spots? Basically players could be placed there and would be ineligible to enter the game, but would continue to earn service time and be on the big league roster? Different players could be placed there every game if desired. Maybe make a rule that pitchers can't be placed there unless they've gone 2 days without pitching, or 4 days if they've thrown more than 50 pitches in their last outing. It would allow teams to be creative (and deal with minor injuries easier rather than having continual shuttles to the minors), but without adding lots of extra in-game moves.
  21. I'm fine with adding the 26th player, but there's no reason to limit the number of pitchers you can carry as that will have implications for 2 way players. Just do something like pitchers have to face at least 3 batters before they can be replaced. If they come out of the game due to injury, they can't pitch again for at least 5 days or something to prevent it being abused. A pitcher starting the game can't pitch again for at least 2 days, unless a game goes into extra innings.
  22. Personally I'd rather draft bats and buy pitchers.
