  1. Bucks have a choke hold on the series. I kinda feel like our current roster matches up better against them anyway, so I'm good with this. That's assuming we advance of course.
  2. According to Baseball Savant, it looks like the ump has called more non-swinging strikes OUT of the zone for Perez than he's called inside the zone! Twice as many in fact.
  3. No, no it didn't. Things like the strike zone were just considered guidelines rather than rules. Each ump basically called the zone they wanted. If you want to see old school examples, watch some video of Pat Hentgen in 96 and 97 getting strike calls in the opposite batters box.
  4. Not sure I like a slider on the outside corner with that much lateral break. It kind of puts it on the same plane as the bat.
  5. Has a triple too, and it's only the 3rd. He might have a legit shot at a cycle today.
  6. It's a really entertaining series so far.
  7. Also, thank God for Nurse who actually has the ability to adapt.
  8. For all the complaining, we really dominated this game. Many of the looks we missed were wide open, and ones we normally make. The ones they missed for the most part were heavily contested. This is a huge win where the score doesn't do the quality of play justice.
  9. I'm not sure I'd call it a botch. I mean, we offered it and Edwin turned it down. The debate is in trying to get ahead of the market in signing Morales.
  10. Not an unexpected turn of events.
  11. Mets and Brewers are enjoying playing so much they've decided to play two.
  12. Lol, Curry just blew an uncontested breakaway layup at a critical point, and not his first of the game. That finger must really be bothering him. Then the Warriors let the clock run out in a five point game with like 15 or 20 seconds left.
  13. For a guy coming up from rookie ball, Luciano has really been fantastic.
  14. Today is the Sogard and Kiner-Falefa show. That felt weird to type.
  15. Whatever the ump calls probably. Our outfielders could have made a production out of trying to grab it and it being stuck, then magically coming up with it. That probably would have worked.
  16. I think part of the interesting flavor of this league is the flex roster capability, which we'd lose by making it permanently 14. It probably really only needs to apply to the cut downs though.
  17. It was stuck at least partially under the fence. Probably in play, but possibly in a grey area.
  18. If the ball is considered out of play, it wouldn't matter if he picked it up or not. It's maybe something the Jays should have challenged.
  19. Is there any actual upside to limiting the farms in between cut downs? It might make things more interesting not to. People would still have to cut down twice a year.
  20. Senzel just cranked one
  21. No they aren't, or did we change something I forgot about?
  22. I've never seen a player run backwards in a rundown like that before.
