  1. I'm actually kind of surprised. I guess there's enough interest that they feel he'll get the max anyway.
  2. I like Ozuna on that list of bats. Pitchers are more difficult, but if we're not competing next year we probably don't want someone like Hamels who will be 37 before our window starts to open (hopefully). We probably don't want another blister pitcher like Hill either. Bumgarner will be interesting. He hasn't been great the last two years with a number of injuries. However, his velocity is up this year, which is nice. If he gets a 7 year deal at 25M / year or something, you probably want to avoid him. If teams are a little apprehensive, he could come in the 5/100 range, which would be something worth seriously considering. Gibson is kind of interesting. He feels like a guy who will likely provide surplus value.
  3. I had no idea Richmond was (sort of) pitching again.
  4. Lol. What pitchers look good in DFS today? Ooh, Paxton vs the Jays and Sale vs the White Sox! Results? 8 combined runs, 6 combined outs so far.
  5. That's interesting. They said in the COL-SF game that when umpires receive their report, pitches are given 2 inches of leeway. So a ball that's 2 inches off the plate is basically still considered a correct call no matter what that call is.
  6. Rowdy really has good at-bats against lefties, even though that one ended up with a bad result.
  7. He really made that an adventure lol. THAT is a body that isn't going to age well.
  8. That was a weird play all around. I'm okay with it though. We've been having a hard time scoring runs. Not sure we want to be conceding any in the 6th.
  9. Probably the right call not to review that one. Tie goes to the ump's call lol.
  10. I don't think so, I think he was just badly beaten on it.
  11. If Vlad senior was still playing, he'd probably break his bat on a ball that bounced, and hit it into that porch.
  12. With the harder balls and bats they should be making stadiums bigger, if anything.
  13. Stanton got really lucky on that tag at 3rd, because he almost got his hand spiked.
  14. Yeah, that was interesting. Jansen looked like he never called for the ball though, so maybe Tellez thought he couldn't see it or something.
  15. ... and now I'm even more sure I don't want to join that chat.
  16. Pitching changes like this are what overuses your bullpen.
  17. Ray to me for a 3rd to 2nd waiver swap. I'm calling up Verdugo. I'll make other cuts / callups closer to the draft.
  18. I'd love to get Haniger, but my outfield is stuffed.
  19. Pillar has put up negative value this year too. In reality, both teams probably lost.
  20. He's given up 13 (fair) balls with greater than 90 mph exit velocity, and 5 greater than 100 mph.
  21. They were really getting on Angel last night in the Sunday Night Baseball broadcast ... and it was completely deserved.
  22. I'm fine with it if we get the right return. My preference is to extend him though.
  23. So the Yankees haven't been shut out in the last 159 games, and Sanchez is on the mound. Watch this somehow end up being a 1-0 game.
