  1. Both other leagues are in the 50s or 60s (with a lot of full rosters).
  2. I might be interested if I can make room. Probably shouldn't keep the spot empty ALL year.
  3. Yeah, I'm a little surprised by that. It probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things though.
  4. If Conine is available, I'll take him with my missed pick.
  5. If my turn comes up in the morning, just skip me and I'll make it up when I can.
  6. MLB lists Biggio at 200 and Vladdy at 250. Here's the respective pages if you're interested: Vladdy: https://statsapi.mlb.com/api/v1/people/665489/ Biggio: https://statsapi.mlb.com/api/v1/people/624415/
  7. It was a ball, but he was gifted one earlier in the at-bat. Too close to take. As far as the umps go, if you're gonna make a bad call, don't have rabbit ears.
  8. I'm 100% in favour of finding out.
  9. Isn't it great when life so eloquently tells you to see your optometrist?
  10. Goins with a big FU to all his haters out there.
  11. There goes Paddack's no-no.
  12. Not really. The idea of the opener is to have the starter face the top of the lineup one less time, while guaranteeing yourself certain more favourable matchups. If you're not going to do that, then don't bring in a reliever with an xFIP over 5 to face the best batters from the opposing team while your 4.25 xFIP starter likely begins with his team already in a hole.
  13. Well, sure, if the guy who follows also only goes through the order once. I'd probably be inclined to call that a bullpen day though.
  14. Did the Mariners just utilize an "opener" by having them pitch to the first 9 batters in the lineup?
  15. I guess I'll take Toglia. Don't really like any of the remaining options much, so power and Coors sounds good.
  16. They need to get him throwing his curve and slider a lot more, rather than the fastball he can't command.
  17. I wouldn't say he sucks. The bat is above average, just not elite (so far). He just turned 26 though, and has the talent to really break out.
  18. That low wind rumble in this HOU-LAA game is really, really annoying when you have headphones on.
  19. I could certainly see it. His advanced stats aren't pretty, but upper 90s, cheap contract, and a nice ERA should get the attention of someone. We certainly couldn't expect more than a wildcard though.
  20. I don't have a big problem with Fenway. It both gives and takes away. The Yankees short porch without the wall should never have been allowed.
  21. Lorenzen just came in as a pinch runner, in the 9th, in a tie game, and stole second base. Some pitchers are actually fun to watch doing things other than pitching.
