    Yeah. That game was magical. Verlander's no hitter against us was amazing. The bastard was throwing 101 to 102 in the 9th inning. Randy Johnson's perfect game at age 40 was fun. Roger Clemens had a high strikeout game for us that was amazing to watch too, but I can't remember the exact total. 18 maybe? Roy Halladay's near no-hitter in his second game. Halladay's 10 inning, 99 pitch game. I think those are the ones I remember best.

    Markakis going after 3000 hits kinda feels like Moyer chasing 300 wins. It just seems wrong.

    Do they need to be that different though? I mean, you don't need stands or anything. Go buy a big farm or two out in the middle of nowhere, build a whole shitload of fields, and have at it. Instant bubble. If players don't like it, they can opt out.

    Might be able to extend him for 2 years cheap and get him in '22 when we really need him.

    Considering he missed almost all of last year with elbow problems, it makes sense not to rush him right now. Let him get some regular work in on the taxi squad in a controlled environment, then promote him in a few weeks when you're sure he's properly built up.

    Good thing that pitch to Cespedes was a fastball. If that had been off-speed, he would have screwed himself so far into the ground they would have needed a backhoe to get him out. Fun to watch either way though

    The outcomes and key moments are scripted, but a lot of other stuff isn't. I agree though, having a whole team mic'd up probably isn't wise.
