  1. Available: THE Garrett Cooper Kike Hernandez (2B, SS, CF,) Adalberto Mondesi Kolby Allard Wilmer Font Joe Smith Wouldn't mind an upgrade at 1B over Aguilar.
  2. I think he was on someone else's MLB roster when I traded for him. I was just being hopeful that since he hasn't played an MLB game yet, that he might be able to be moved down. No worries though.
  3. What's the requirements for asking a player be moved to the minors? I have Honeywell in a IR slot, he doesn't have a green flag, but he hasn't pitched a game in the majors yet.
  4. Yeah, but that also gets your manager tossed and fines for both, and you'd be risking a passed ball plus an additional base runner.
  5. Yep. We didn't deserve to win tonight.
  6. It seems like Yankee prospects always get aggressively rated.
  7. I doubt it. His offers get progressively more lopsided in his favour the more drunk he is. They usually start out pretty reasonable...
  8. I'll forgive it if Hurl lets me send him Vanny's BBDL invite. I can't seem to reach Vanny.
  9. They drag on in the NBA and NHL because of the absurd number of off-days during the playoff series. Some of those are three days between games.
  10. I don't see why not. Teams can play double headers if games are lost due to weather. You can't eliminate ALL of them, but maybe half. Don't like it? Next time you build a stadium, add a retractable roof.
  11. It wouldn't take too long because you're also knocking 12 games off the regular season and reducing off-days. The season would actually be shorter than it is now. The playoffs would probably be over mid-October. I personally don't like the wildcard structure, but that's just me.
  12. I think there's lots of things you could do regarding that. Maybe add a decent chunk of regular season TV revenue to the postseason pot for rounds beyond the first or something. I don't think it would incentivize mediocrity, at least for teams who aren't the Marlins. I still believe the best solution is 32 teams, half the teams get in, the regular season is cut back to 150 games with fewer offdays and a balanced schedule, and all playoff series are best of 7. Playoff pool money only extends to teams who make it out of the first round. I like the top seeds picking their opponent idea, so maybe add that in too. You could let selections be from either league if you want to spice it up even further.
  13. They could have been planning on replacing Kiki with Rengifo to cut some more salary.
  14. I don't know if I really like best of three for all teams other than the top one in each league. I do like the idea of the top seeds picking who they want to play.
  15. I can't imagine that going anywhere. Normally I hate lawsuits like this, but I think the Astros deserve much more punishment than they received. It would be nice to see them have to at least squirm a little more.
  16. I have zero problem with people using things like code breaker between games, and zero problem with the players and coaches using their own skills during the game. I have a big problem with using technology during the game to do this.
  17. I'd love to have him, but he's on an expiring contract. Unless the team felt he could be the difference in making the playoffs (unlikely), it's probably not worth it for us. I guess it depends what they feel is our equivalent to Rengifo is.
  18. Great job by OG there! That was a much closer game than it should have been.
  19. He could actually be useful. We have lots of guys who can go and eat multiple innings. Having someone who's a pure lefty specialist isn't the worst idea in the world.
  20. Abom had starting pitching issues he wanted to address without taking away from his core bats. Lots of risk with picking up Montas and Honeywell, but it's better than sitting back and hoping Mr. Blister gets it together. My Available guys: Cooper Renfroe Small pick upgrade or something: Sanchez, Gomber, Tapia
  21. The code breaking would pick it up very quickly, possibly even the current batter, since they could use information from previous games too. I still agree they should have done more to switch signs or use some other system though.
  22. Our remaining schedule is middle of the pack. http://www.tankathon.com/remaining_schedule_strength
  23. The core is, outside of Honeywell! Fingers crossed it stays that way.
  24. I can't believe I actually HAVE good starting pitching in a league.
