    He had a much bigger year in 2010 His slash lines in the Cuban league 2011 - .274/.312/.414 in 399 PA's. 2010 - .318/.386/.541 360 PA's 19 HR's 2009 - .253/.304/.415 it looks not so bad but keep in mind the league average OPS is like .850. and Bello's team plays in the best hitting park.

    They will get a MLB ready starter in return. I'm hearing that the Braves will want in on Price. I can see Wood, Graham and Sims all going in return.

    Stoeten was a blogger that was carried by guys both more intelligent and more entertaining. To put it in a board context it would be like NJH, Nox and Boxy starting up a blog...then spliting up and getting his own blog. I like Boxy (and think he's more intelligent and entertaining than Stoeten) but his blog would be a huge drop off from the combo one. Also now imagine the quality of followers...are the really in-depth baseball followers going to Boxy?

    I love the way OPS is his offensive go to stat and Starters ERA is his pitching stat...keeps the Jeff Blair's of the world believing that AA "teeters the line between Scouting and stats" As for Olerud...there have been 19 teams that have won championships since the 1993 team, maybe we don't need to emulate 92 or 93 and just focus on lucking out with the talent we have or can acquire (look at the Braves they are an incredibly ugly team and have their version of JPA batting clean up) yet they are still alive in these playoffs. Improving the pitching staff will help the Jays...plain and simple!

    That's how I get most annoying poster locked up. I tend to do better at predicting prospects will be a bust than predicting which one's will be good (Travis Snider MVP winner, Jaff Decker perennial clean up hitter and all star, Anthony Rendon next Tony Gwynn and most famously trading Mike Trout).

    Not really I predicted that this whole thing could go really poorly but outside of saying we lack depth, my reasoning wasn't exactly right on it. I think said that Buehrle would fall apart in the second half like he always does, I also said that Izturis would have a rebound season and be solid on offense. Outside of RR not recovering and Boni being useless, Lawrie not progressing with the bat I don't think I got much correct.

    As for Gomes the reason not many people saw s*** in him while in Toronto is that his k-totals were really big in the minors and he didn't draw walks. This org has shown over and over again that they don't give a s*** about K's though, we probably tried to turn Gomes into something he's not.

    WHAT? I called him a garbage slap hitter who if he doesn't bunt for singles is one of the worst hitters in all of baseball. Believe my exact words were that half the board would be calling for his DFA by June...who knew it would be all the board.

    it's not easy to be -10 DRS in LF in just 340 innings played. Maybe it's just cause I really don't get Gattis appeal, but no way I'd put him in LF to make sure he gets AB's.
