Take a look at their 2011 prospect list (this one from BP). It has provided them with 2 starting pitchers, starters at catcher, 1B, 3B, one of the best part time OF's and 3 relievers. They used three of the players (Myers, Monty and Odorizzi) to get them a starter that provide them 4.7 WAR last year and a reliever that's among the best in baseball. Really that's pretty good for a farm in just three years. Add in Gordon and Butler to that mix. The issue is that they only have those two guys and Greg Holland from the 2010 team contributing. Greinke was dealt for Escobar, Odorizzi and Cain. Soria they let walk. So pretty much they got what you can expect out of a top farm (11 contributing players)...they just were starting with nothing and added nothing else of consequence. They also have never thought much about pitching depth (something I ripped AA for last year) and that is one of their biggest issues.
