Doesn't Pillar know that Bautista is in charge no matter what the situation -
And outside of the Stroman situation this team is doing more moves I like than ones I dislike. Thought the Hendriks move was the right one and Pillar of course.

I still think the team is dumb enough to say "he's hot, we'll throw him in against some RHP's"...then he'll go back to looking awful.

this lineup is so much better against lefties than what we put out to start the season. I know part of it is Rasmus being injured but still we went from hoping the Bautista destroys a LHP to actually having a pretty solid vs LHP lineup.

Make Grant sit and watch every at bat of Pedroia's (I'm not sure why this concept entertains me so much) and he'll still project him to bat .140 and die a horrible death. Look at the two Gose threads right now, how many people have said things like Gose is the type that will be better in the majors than in the minors. I also heard a lot of Toronto media saying the same thing. There is a very small percentage of players that are (especially right away) but Gose is suddenly expected to...mostly because most fans, scouts, media, experts want him to be the guy they thought he would be.

I don't believe the division will be this low next season and the Jays aren't getting magically better they are now. So yes they should go for it. Will it work? Probably not, but it's not like I love their position moving forward either may as well make a deal and take the hype based attendance increases.
