  2. nah...I believe MLB actually should make a lot of this stuff mandatory. I just think that if you asked Lawrie to wear it and he struck out next AB...you'd never see it again anyway.
  3. I'm shocked that this has never come up before around here. 4 WAR photographer/artist though
  4. says the guy who made fun of the Torres helmet. Why not rip the pitchers for not wearing protective helmets? Getting baseball players to change equipment is really tough to do.
  5. The debate is whether or not having an injured team is better for AA than missing the playoffs with a healthy team. And I'm saying because he's much better off being a PR GM than having injuries are great for AA. why can't you understand that. I'm not saying that having injuries are good for the team, that would be stupid. As for the Jays being a .500 team...I base that on me being smarter than everyone else. Seriously I've said this since last October....I said this when they were 40-30 why the hell would I change my tune now? Whether it's fact or not it's my opinion...which is often like fact (sans Travis Snider's MVP awards and Johnny Cueto's 2014 success)
  6. baseball fights are fine. Honestly I have no issue with what he's doing. I guess it depends on the opponent. Some at this point would get upset...I'm just going to debate.
  7. Fact (whether you want to believe it or not) - Rogers told AA in 2012 that he could have an increase in payroll but he had to become more accessible to media. Fact - he waited a year and spent the money in "the trades". Then has spun PR for 2 years since, while ignoring depth. There are two ways to keep a job as a GM. Win or increase team value. He's not great at one of those so he has to hope for the other. While yes I'm biased against AA...but it's not without facts and solid reasoning.
  8. Groundhog day...shadow seen in the X-Ray means six more weeks of bad middle infielders. Best they can hope for is a everyone throws Francisco fastballs.
  9. My opinions of this front office haven't changed based on anything for over 2 years now, not winning streaks, not losing streaks...not the Rays results (either in making the playoffs last year or s***ing the bed this year). This wasn't a troll post just because you have issues understanding. Nothing I said isn't true...that's what you have to understand.
  10. No I believe this is a .500 team with these players and have stated it that way. You have a GM that is always looking for good PR (instead of building a good 40 man). What I'm saying is that AA is much better off with injury riddled excuses rather than just ending up 80 and 82 with the core intact. Injuries for this team and not making the playoffs sells tickets for next year.
  11. what you aren't going far enough to say he saved the season in a 4th inning run scoring double play
  12. This is exactly what the org needed. Injury excuses. "we were in first place, when we lost Lind, Lawrie and Bautista".
  13. another error to Votto...where the f*** was the stretch. That's awful.
  14. my only day off (this summer as it turns out after being told that I won't be getting OSAP and I am now financially f***ed)...I'll catch up for fantasy stuff today. I thought I only had two picks in the draft total and I took Ruiz and Severino
  15. I got to say I hope whoever offered me Cueto in the off season kept my response where I said I wouldn't touch that f***in' Mexican if you gave him to me. I based so much off of the rehab start in Lansing.

  17. Broken done for 6. he'll feel that when the coke wears off. Horrible call by the ump there.
  18. guess not even close...and he was running much harder than I thought.
  19. Frazier couldn't have got in that far in front of that out. He was just jogging in.
  20. Good on Torres. I hope he gets a big endorsement deal out of this, safety over vanity. Although he didn't have great results yesterday with it on.
