  1. handjob on the night of the meetup.
  2. You mean in 40% of the PA's and 2 full years older A ball stats? With that said I like Zimmer, he has good wheels, makes contact and the power is coming along better than what was anticipated. If that continues this year they might be less concerned about putting him in a corner OF (I don't think Cleveland is the type that would typecast a guy anyway)
  3. I was talking about Ed Rogers. Not sure about AA...if you have to pay by the amount of material he might
  4. Ninja in a $4,000 suit
  5. Then the BA list comes out and Severino is ranked 35th (my prediction) and he'll be worth a league average major league player or better.
  6. Yeah I was just preparing for the usual stuff we hear. I'm not sold on him as a huge contributor, but if it's on a minor league deal I don't care if it's Hugo Chavez.
  7. But that ERA...AL East...whatever else is the usual BS we hear from those that don't bother to look closely at the numbers.
  8. He also doesn't let go when he labels a guy bullpen.
  9. Take one of Reyes, EE, Donaldson or Bautista out with Injury...think about who is set up to replace them and do you still think that? Smoak taking a step forward does so much for this team, cause even if Saunders or Pompey do, I don't expect consistency.
  10. 90 wins the division. 81 comes last.
  11. What is raising the ticket prices bringing them in?
  12. They should try and get a guy like Souza. Actually 2B depends on your belief of whether Yunel recovers, and converts to 2B well.
  13. The Nats just continue to shuffle around without really improving their team. They are the best team on paper...but they always have been. I think they have spent an additional $30M this off season and there projection has barely changed. God help them if they don't win it this year.
  14. Wasn't that discussed in Moneyball? That baseball is built that even the worst built team is going to beat the best teams occasionally as there are so many lucky factors within a single game.
  15. Turns out though he didn't call about Wells, all he had to do is pick up the phone. Same with Lawrie. The Halladay trade was a key in landing him the top 5 farm. In the same way with one trade the Mets moved from a bottom 10 farm to top 10. I'll never rip AA for his drafting, with the exception of his pitcher to hitter ratio (and when he does draft hitters he seldom looks beyond ceiling). Okay so I'll never rip the Jays for the pitching they have drafted.
  16. 79 wRC, negative baserunning and negative defense. Don't think we'll see a worse overall team again. I mean the late 70's Jays teams were horrible...but at least their D was league average. I think the A's might have been worst in the league in all three. And that was with Rickey Henderson on the team, okay he wasn't exactly Rickey yet. Made the playoffs just two years later though
  17. The last 5 fWAR reliever we'll ever see
  18. Dalton has continued to support Mississauga North Baseball and show up/coach at their den without charging any appearance fees. They rave about him there (not that you expect the place he played his club ball to rip him but they certainly didn't talk about their other major league players the way they did about Dalton). I've never heard a bad thing about him.
  19. it's also like two weeks until pitchers and catchers report. I'm not sure I understand the market
  20. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/you-can-still-build-a-full-and-complete-bullpen/
  21. You leaning towards public defenders office now...or doing pro bono work?
  22. Alex? Honestly I think that's his dream scenario
  23. Just thought I'd check. You are still on the long list to handle my finances if I ever get any. As far ticket sales go for this year I'd figure that they need stay even with last year to make up for the exchange related payroll increase, which isn't a bad situation for them in that regards.
  24. so you advocate spending $36M (and the subsequent increases) to make $11.5+ plus whatever beer sales? and actually we took on Buehrle and Reyes worst years of their free agent contract (Florida got the cheap year out of them). Where Rogers should be happy with the moves is that the Jays valuation has gone up more than the league average since 2012.
  25. While we are talking about Rosenthal, he has an interview with Manfred tonight and I saw a clip of it. I think it was a 20 second clip and I just wanted to kick Ken in the teeth. Speaking of teeth, Gaptooth Manfred has moments where he reminds me of Andre from The League.
