One of the best ideas on the thread...and it would draw so much hatred from the casuals. So much so that if he continued to give up runs anywhere near his current pace it would actually be AA's likely demise.
A better thread might be to look at the most likely relievers to be moved:
Papelbon (13M this year, $13M vesting option that is going to be close to the number)
Clippard (free agent next year, guaranteed to get traded, likely for less than what Oakland gave up to get him).
Cishek (got $6.5M in his second of four arbitration years)
Francisco Rodriguez ($7.5M next year) Teams usually don't give free agents multi year deals and then trade them the same year, but he is getting a solid raise next year and he has a lot of value right now. A smart GM would move him.
Chapman (one more arbitration year, likely will get $10M)
John Axford (One more arbitration year, likely won't get over $4M)
Those are the guys that are probably top candidates to get moved. Really not sure what the asking prices for each will be but relievers always seem to go for much less in the off-season in comparison to trade deadline.
