    NRI's at this point. A starter if the market remains dead and they get one they want at a bargain price and 1 year term.

    Depth wins in the MLB. Best 1 year signing they could have made. They are starting to remove legit assets from the 40, so I think this is it for Free Agents. It does put them in an interesting position for a trade (either before the season or a deadline deal) for a legit 3B. I'd like to see them playing all the IF in multiple positions by who is pitching and who is hitting but I think that might blow the fanbase up.

    Dude we have gone through this before. No one gives a f*** if baseball fans enjoy the long games. TV loses money, players get hurt, owners lose money. Union has no real need for this as a bargaining chip. It's going to happen and the game is better for it.

    2nd among 2B in defensive runs saved, 6th in outs above average.

    He is 3 years younger than Macier at that point of signing. I think it's right about proper value for a guy that shouldn't regress defensively or with his legs. Red Sox are in a position to throw him out at 2B most every day and get value out of the guy that probably has been one of the best 2B's defensively over the past couple years. It wouldn't surprise me if they are able to trade him for $10M in value in 2022

    Jays numbers in September were awful that year: Moseby .149/.186/.213 (for a guy that had been one of the most consistent hitters in ball for 4 years) Bell .246/.258/.415 Fernandez .289/.298/.367 Barfield .226/.288/.512 Upshaw .242/.327/.347 Mullinicks .246/.306/.316 As a team they were .234/.277/.359 after being .280/.344/.440 up to that point. An insane 468 runs with 362 runs against in June, July and August.

    Anyone know how options worked last year? I see some players used up an option (Merryweather, Waguespack, Murphy, SRF) but others (Luciano) did not.

    He has 1 option so maybe they think he can find his bat in between majors and minors (if they happen) but Hunt is the number 2 target here. Defensive catcher (BA called him an elite framer) who's bat and power are coming around...most Rays guy ever.

    Amateur sport has been told 70 percent of the province needs to be vaccinated before they can have fans. I realize pro sport has a lot more pull but I don't see the province letting travel in until a similar threshold.
