  1. out of all the Farms listed by BA so far. I'd have someone 5th or worse as our number 2 prospect...with the exception of San Fran (they have the worst farm IMO), Philly (which is just sad considering where they are), Miami (who is pretty similar to the Jays), and Milwaukee (who I like their top 3 better than ours).
  2. Biagini would have to be sitting in the bottom 5 if he were eligible http://www.milb.com/images/607352/t3410/180x270/607352.jpg
  3. No one from Wisconsin makes the bigs. Catchers from Wisconsin with no knees don't make AAA.
  4. Fatboy fanboy! I'm flying the Urena flag. Two spots higher than anyone else.
  5. Now for my commentary on mine. 1 Anthony Alford I tell myself all the time…don't fall for the toolsy guy who strikes out way too much. Happens all the time though. 2 Sean Reid-Foley At least he's striking out people. 3 Conner The Model Greene Really like him more as a model. The numbers are good. Velo is up 4 Richard Urena K rate went down…power went way up. Don't care about the OBP if this trend continues. 5 Vlad Guerrero Jr. I hate to rank a 16 year old as the failure rate is so damn high. 6 Rowdy Tellez the bat might play. He's a 1B prospect though who isn't good with the glove and can't run 7 Jon Harris Hated him as draftee, like him less now 8 Max Pentecost Two screws in the elbow…check. Shoulder surgery didn't take-check. Second surgery … 3 month recovery time, didn't return in 7 months - check seriously why do I even have him listed, oh yeah being Brought out back, shot and left for dead he'd at least give the Jays an armband. 9 DJ Davis Repeating levels not good…cutting his K's significantly that is one of my top indicators, can't ignore 10 Angel Perdomo He's got to move up at least 3 levels next year. 11 Yorman Rodriguez I'll assume he's a 1B. If he can actually catch he moves up 12 Clinton Hollon I'll ignore whatever happened in Dunedin. Heard his velocity is recovering. Maybe he can get back to his predraft 95 13 Jose Espada Tough Puerto Rican. I like the sound of that 14 Justin Maese I like so few. May as well take the velocity guy, even if he K's no one 15 Shane Dawson Future Loogy…and Canadian
  6. says the man that's never made a point on this board ever
  7. I'll go tough Rent -Mikael Franco 10 Yr - JP Crawford KBO - I'll assume that the KBO isn't buying Howard so I'll go Appel so we don't have to have my solid projections for his future to be proven wrong.
  8. I was thinking Harper $7.5M - 6.0 fWAR upgrade on Revere Degrom or Syndergaard $600K - 3.2 fWAR upgrade on #5 starter Jose Fernandez $2.2M - 3.8 over Dickey Luis Garcia $600K - 0.5 over Biagini Freddy Freeman $12M 2.9 over Smoakabello I cheated and went over budget by a about $5M
  9. Same task. Can't go over $150M All replaced Blue Jays are still under contract. Try to get the Jays up to Cubs Depth Chart projections
  10. AL West Angels - Trout A's - Gray Astros - Correa M's - King Felix Rangers - Hamels
  11. I'm highly Sapiosexual. The Duke degree gives me wood. The smile is him though, only time he's not smiling is when he's pitching (which isn't pretty) which I ignored as no one should look good when giving 100%
  12. Anyone want the Dodgers new back up to the back up 2B?
  13. We next should take our talents to the NBA and start asking for all the ugly sons a bitches there to be kicked out of the league. Seriously f*** Gilbert Arenas http://www.tmz.com/2015/12/16/gilbert-arenas-wnba-players-ugly-lesbians/
  14. I would generally take a bullpen guy or a defense first middle infielder over an under 18 guy, but I haven't been watching and following this year and I already ranked 3 guys in the top 8 that I hated when drafted and have done zero to prove me wrong...but there just isn't a lot there so I took a flier on a guy that was putting up good numbers at a young age.
  15. Zaidi just sits in on every GM call.
  16. ...and have him do her taxes or look at her investment portfolio
  17. looking at my list...I might have a hatred for lefties. Or I've discovered that left handed people really are ugly and wrong.
  18. to bump your hottest or your ugliest player? I mean it hurts to see my guy on the bottom but to wish Shapiro to trade for Jered Weaver to move him up makes no sense
  19. Stat scouting, and yes I realize how little the DSL stats mean...I just really hate this farm and thought I'd do a little deep stat searching. Did find this gem of a review after my list. But I said many times now that I am going to ignore defensive assumptions based on team moves.
  20. my write up was: I'll assume he's a 1B. If he can actually catch he moves up
  21. In a world where I am not the best Mod or at least getting an award, I don't blame you. I expect that next year many abstain in protest of my robbery
  22. I'm late with just about everything these days.
  23. This was first hand information from someone in the Rays organization. Creating starters out of guys that wouldn't normally start is a positive for those guys, but there are guys that get paid to eat innings (and those guys have traditionally been paid more than the 130 inning guys, despite lower numbers). Also there is no traditions in arbitration to judge these guys, so it makes it tough. In the end MLBPA doesn't like change (nor does baseball in general), but I wouldn't think they would go public with anything until they felt it was necessary. Tampa was forced into a hybrid of what they would really like to do, but they also had so many injuries that it made it happen with too much notice. I was in Tampa for a game just after Erasmo was pulled in a 1 hitter and the person I know there was telling me that they scoured every media source to see what the reaction was.
  24. I'm not going to delete your post but just going to point you to a certain website which has helped to change the way I speak and write these days. as the site says: There are obvious spikes during major sporting events. As someone who is entering into employment in the world of sport I am going to point this out every time I see any of these types of words or statements are used on pages I go to. You don't need to choose to change but I feel obliged to point it out. Thanks.
