  1. But I could rant about fans at the game all day today. Last night I sat beside a newly dating couple, who were sitting with 3 other married couples. This girl had a horrible laugh, but she's meeting her new guys old married baseball friends. She was forced to laugh at everything they said. The stuff he was explaining to her about baseball I just wanted to interrupt and tell her that he's really stupid. Then he jumps into my 7th inning stretch conversation that Edgar Martinez should be in the HOF and tells me I'm wrong. Felt sorry for the girl as she got so drunk by the end that she could barely speak.
  2. There is s*** in every clubhouse that could be out and spun into anything wanted. There is the Jays anti-media stance right now that is causing this I'm sure. They have the two pics in the clubhouse with X's through them, representing do not do interviews with these people. Then there is the blasting loud music during media time. All of this sounds to me like a clubhouse that is pretty together on things (even if it is just against the media), but like I said there is s*** that goes on which could be spun in any way (players going out until late...probably happens every week, but it doesn't look good in the fans eyes if they lose a game after). My argument is that the media's job is to tell the fans the "inside scoop" which is funny cause we know they really don't, so why isn't this stuff reported on all season. Honestly much like Boston's supposed clubhouse issues in 2012. It's just the Front Office letting media make a story out of little things to help them do their jobs without as much fight from the people that buy the tickets.
  3. Getting rumblings already that the media is all ready to release stories about unacceptable behaviour in the clubhouse. I love this stuff, easiest out on all ends for a GM. Only now there is social media, and I for one am going to rip into the media on this one. I do wonder what happens if the Jays make another run in the playoffs though...do the stories get pulled or do they come out anyway.
  4. FYFY The fans aren't good ones. But they do show up (when it's the in place to be)
  5. This one is on me, sorry everyone. Didn't win the $127K 50/50 either.
  6. $100k 50/50 draw. $10 donation to the board if I win
  7. I'm pretty sure you should take some time away from the board and think about why you are a fan.
  8. Blue Jays offered a guy near minimum wage to continue as an intern. Dodgers offered same person $120K, with no additional experience. I'd say yes they have the highest earning F.O.
  9. Zeke putting the plug into sparkplug
  10. Not to mention the bidding war to trade him to Spanky or TCA could pretty much make my team for decades.
  11. Players available. Kendrys Morales - Hit 30 again. Just barely...but kept OF and 1B eligibility (exactly 5 starts in each) Michael Conforto - Certainly not giving up on him. But would move him for less than I would have at this time last year. Panik - once again right at that frustrating bottom part of the top 20 2B rankings. Not a huge upgrade for anyone. But maybe someone lost 2B eligibility and you want a new 2B for not a huge price. Come calling. Gurriel - I liked what I saw early on...but would move him. Mesoraco - Take him. don't care...hate him more than any player that I loved at one time. Only keeping 5 pitchers at this time (3 starters, 2 relievers) so I have lots of room to pick up your non keepers. I might even collect relievers.
  12. It is 1A and 1B between him and Otani. Too many college coaches calling him the best NCAA hitter they have ever seen.
  13. i am completely unsure of the direction of my team. I had a plan...that plan changed. Losing two of my starters kind of put me in a different position. I know that I'll be putting a few of my hitters on the block. I wish Yuli showed more so that I could make a move at 3B. My block is likely any of my hitters and my needs are starters.
  14. I guarantee they are different people (I have checked both of their social media accounts and their style matches to their board lack of personalities). And I guarantee that Real Accountant is Robert...who was that guy from the other board. Again I really wish people didn't mention them so much. I don't understand the obsession with finding out who they are.
  15. Sanchez to start the Wild Card game. If the Jays are up in the ALDS, or have a chance to take a lead during game three I go to Sanchez in the 8th inning. This is on the assumption that Benoit is out.
  16. Cyborg making me look bad by refusing compensation for Fernandez in the BBDL.
  17. Dick Williams got his job cause his Dad is part of the ownership group and the Club's Chairman.
  18. Great hire by the way. Was a bit of a spoiled rich kid but really grew into a mature adult. http://www.thefashionisto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/90210-Original-Steve-Sanders-Ian-Ziering-High-Waist-Denim-Jeans.jpg
  19. His Dad doesn't own the Jays so he'd never be linked here.
  20. I'll assume you didn't see that the OP was banned for his stupidity when you replied.
  21. Managers out of the playoffs do not want the game to go any longer than it already has on travel day.
  22. Single ties it...game goes 17 innings.
  23. What is Sanchez doing on that play. I know it's instinct to go after the ball but he has to stay on the plate there.
