  1. It's actually Napoli playing I would have questioned. I know he's shown power against RHP but Crisp playing LF and Santana playing 1B seems to make more sense to me. I love Francona's comments though saying "if Santana doesn't make a play that's not on him...it's on me".
  2. By pitch fx Jays pitchers got more calls than the Indians.
  3. Tomlin on 12 days rest is pumped. Hit 89 twice already
  4. He was DD'ing for Arrieta and Hendricks. Fatcow has his priorities in check and knows where the Cubs bread is really buttered. Not with some f***ing ex Red Sox which makes him a rapist by definition. Sorry KK, I'm a terrible mod for getting the last word when you closed the thread. BTS, Spanky, Fatcow et al. This is why we can't have nice things!
  5. You'd like one or the other. Not someone who is useless at both.
  6. in 2015 fans built this belief in their head that the Jays were a team of destiny after the Texas series. Even now there is revisionist history, believing that somehow they deserved to beat KC. Forgetting that they lost 5-0, 6-3 and 14-2 before the 4-3 clincher. Yes the 6-3 game was just one lucky inning but outside of that inning KC led for much of the series
  7. My AL votes (cause they count) 1B - Moreland 2B - Pedroia (could go Kinsler, it's pretty equal...but I like to see Grant upset) SS - Lindor, again close enough that if they give it to Simmons I won't rant...Tulo really should have been the 3rd on the ballot though) 3B - Beltre...always Beltre. LF - Rasmus...half the innings which might hurt him CF - Pillar No Doubter RF - Betts. Can't go wrong with him or Eaton. P - Tanaka but he's not on the ticket. So Kuechel. C - Perez, always Sal Perez. They didn't seem to do too badly in the AL this year...but what a f***ing travesty that Colon won't win the NL.
  8. I purchased the "The Blue Jays made the playoffs and all I got was 1 less hit than Darwin Barney/Devon Travis" T-Shirt
  9. ...and proves he's a 3B long term.
  10. Too many details are still unknown to form an opinion. What are the rules on agents? what is to stop a 17 year old from attending a year of high school in the U.S. (or Canada, PR) in years where the player is expected to be a top pick (assuming the pools in the International will be much smaller? Just have one draft and all countries are eligible, then we are finally comparing apples to apples.
  11. wouldn't Miggy's and/or Votto's extensions be the comparable which Donaldson would use. Not sure why he would consider anything less (especially since rumour is that he does not have a good relationship with the F.O.). Just keep the $17M on the books and ride it out into his last year.
  12. This December I'm likely buying group tickets for the Saturday and Sunday (August 20 and 21 I think) for the Jays in Wrigley (Bleacher seats). I have a group of 5 going which means I'll be selling the other 15 (or more if I get $$ up front). I'll be charging a small handling fee (probably $10 cdn) to cover my ass for those that screw me over. I'm not looking to make this a group trip where every is staying in the same hotel, I am just getting the tickets (and because it's Bleacher you can sit on your own if you wish). If you want tickets, without having to wait for the general public sale, you have a couple months to think about it before I buy. Let me know when you know you are interested.
  13. only thing more embarrassing is being a co-manager in it.
  14. KC AAA team, poor results before getting hurt at the end of July. Considering re-inventing himself as a pitcher.
  15. not knowing BBDL info should never make you feel stupid. Being in the league on the other hand...
  16. Because he doesn't like the greatest front office mind this sport has ever seen.
  17. go click edit on your post now, it will show you how I did it (in case you don't understand Spanky's explanation)
  18. J4L19 and I are putting up our $240 we will win in a contest if you can give us the time of date, time and second the Cubs finish them off. 1 entry per contestant and only posters above 20000 posts are eligible.
  19. Young Sluggerz --- Vlad Jr. (Bo's Daddy was overrated...so in turn Bo is as well) Up the Middle --- Urena (our very own Alcides Escobar, just like everyone always dreamed) over our very own criminal version of Tommy Pham Highly Touted Arms, Suspect Ratios --- Harris. When taking suspect ratios pitchers, take the one who's third pitch is not telling girls in the bar that he's friends with Charlie Sheen. Although I do see Greene progressing to be a valuable pen piece. Power Pitcher vs. Power Bat --- SRF. How can you not pick the power pitcher over less-athletic Justin Smoak. Spy vs. Spy --- McGuire I'll take the one that who's innings caught is greater than his shoulder surgeries. f*** upside. The Lansing Guys --- Maese. Most interesting battle thus far. You've got the guy that has all the pitches and finally had a healthy season, vs. the guy that has 1 pitch but is showing some promise with the other two. Borucki is rule 5 eligible if they don't move him up to the 40 man. If he gets through this season I like him better than as a guy that you have to stash on the 40 for a couple seasons before he is close to helping. Maese wins because he's new and shiny...and that is what everyone loves in Prospecting. Chubby Tweeners --- Ramirez. After years on the DSJ bandwagon I have officially jumped off. Repeating AA he put up seemingly identical numbers, with a small power jump, but K % jump with it. Plus I don't like to vote against Colombians. It's why I was thrown out as a Miss Universe judge. The Other Lansing Guys --- Zeuch. Isn't a lot of mileage on that big arm. Most of his 5 inning starts he kept his pitch count under 70 pitches. Even if the swing and miss stuff doesn't stay around the contact is mostly on the ground.
  20. so who is the next "smart decision" free agent?
  21. I still think EE is signing here.
  22. Baseball America is blowing the s*** out of Bo Bichette. Wouldn't surprise me if he comes out in December in the top two of the Jays rankings. They ranked him number 2 for power from the 2016 draft class (behind Kyle Lewis) and ranked him number 1 among the high school debuts. Gave him 3rd closest to the Majors among the high schoolers as well.
