    Wasn't a 1 run game so it doesn't go down as that great of a game ending catch but it's one way to bounce back from a 3 error in a series weekend.

    Goins might be their starter. Rafael Montero?

    Yency Almonte is an interesting guy who is on the 40. Sam Moll, short lefty reliever with a nice fastball, curveball combo. That's the extent of what else could help this year.

    He seems to effective to be included but he does fit perfectly. He's the third lefty in their pen now and probably #8 on their starting rotation. Worth asking about.

    I have to believe that the stories were true though. Just DFA'ing him seems to make no sense if there were people interested. It's likely going to be for a DFA candidate pitcher but maybe we can add to the deal and get someone with options and upside.

    actually he just goes into my lineup when SB's are in play for the week. The issue is that, despite being one of the fastest guys in the majors, he's really terrible at stealing bases. I have no doubt I'll drop him. I'm already holding on to Kelly, Mancini and some pitchers. I like Jeimer actually and considered taking your deal but couldn't figure out my drops just yet.

    Goins had trade suitors at the start of the season. Colorado has Story hurt (and playing terrible before his DL visit) and all those GB pitchers. Valaika is not the player we are currently seeing and isn't a legit SS (he was barely even playing there in the minors). Hoffman appears to be ready, Jon Gray is coming back. Is there a pitcher you could trade for from them that is an emergency spot starter/middle reliever. Jordan Lyles doesn't do it for me but I think the Rockies are a fit for a move right now.

    Lomo hit his 10th HR. Alonso has 11 & Smoak 21 RBIs. Someone go find Brett Wallace the 2010 1B prospects are finally hitting.

    He got out of it but I wish more managers just had the balls to say 18 batters and you are out...regardless of situation and score. Helps the next guy out of the pen too, knowing exactly when to come in.

    I don't agree 100%. He's got a terrible eye and swings at too many bad pitches. The number of pitches outside the zone he swings at is down. He's never going to walk a lot as his contact rates on the pitches in the zone is good. He's not a 130 wRC hitter...but I wouldn't call him a bad hitter either. He's showing good signs of improvement.

    Got to figure that in the same way the constant injuries are likely affecting his hitting, his D is probably going drop at a fast rate too. It's quite possible Travis' days as an above average defender are done.

    ah that explains it! You turned down a two spot Milb upgrade for that scrap. The way I draft MiLB players it won't change a thing

    Maybe I just don't pay attention but has Yahoo been taking away season starting eligibility from rookies in the past seasons too? Trey Mancini was a 1B to start, now he's only OF.
