Pentecost being sat on Pentecost Sunday is one of the Jays biggest fails this year.

Nah someone who rates pitchers highly (like Sickels) could easily rate the Jays in the bottom half (Sickels had the Jays 19th coming into the season). Those people are stupid but I'd understand it at least.

Potential impact bats...it's been so long. I'd never rate an org top 10 without them, so maybe now I'll re-assess my Jays ranking. Especially since the minors lacks bats right now IMO.

I like to say that Babe was the most dominant player ever, as no one has been that much better than the next level. Saying "better" than someone today is just going to get into an unwinnable argument. If pitchers from today went into a time machine and faced Ruth, I'm sure he'd be dominated...but I can't prove that.

So what is the fit for trading Manny Machado. They can still get a boatload for him now...but not if he keeps struggling all season. There are only a few places where he isn't a fit. Mets, Boston are both huge fits.

You have to understand that young King is growing up. He's preparing to leave Mom's ample bosom and embark out of province on his own. He also has to wean himself off of the teat of the BJMB family slowly as well.

I can't say I watched a lot this year. But read about it every Sunday night after the weekend games. There are some respected NCAA baseball writers that are calling Oregon State the best team in a decade. Nebraska appears to have pitching but I can't say that is because of a weak Big 10 or is it legit. But zero power (24 HR's as a team all year). Yale has some bashers and really only one legit pitcher. I haven't seen the matchups yet but if Yale leads with Politz, Nebraska might be in tough right away. I just can't see how they can score enough to beat Oregon State twice.

I know this might end up being a thread for King and I mostly but if you get the chance watch some of this tournament. It has all the moments of the NCAA basketball tournament and in my mind has the best format (Double knockout first round in groups of 4, then second round is a matchup best of 3 to establish the 8 that go to Omaha for the CWS, which is a double knockout bracket. It all starts June 1st. Some interesting stories include Miami not being invited for the first time in 44 years and defending champ Coastal Carolina not making the field. http://www.ncaa.com/interactive-bracket/baseball/d1/2017 Who you got? I'll fill out a full bracket before the first games tomorrow.

Goes to show that going to UVA can even turn a Canadian into an angry person. I didn't realize that was him, I sat at one of his OBJ's games and talked to some guy in the crowd about how tall he was for a SS. Turns out it was his Dad I was talking to...who I later found out was on the Cuban National team for 10 years.
