it was up to the ump to make a decision. they went after the rules. I'm not sure if there is a provision to stop play for injuries, but there should be for head injuries. Soccer, basketball and hockey all stop play for head injuries.
LOL
Escobar thinks he's the life of the party though.
Kawasaki is just trying really hard to be one of the guys. he's a great teammate. I was really impressed with him being the lead cheerleader when DeRosa pinch hit for him. lots of guys would be in sulking. Kawasaki was on the top rail clapping and cheering. he's a class act.
I love Escobar... playing for someone else. he gift wrapped 3 bad plays and personally gave the jays game 1. he has moments of brilliance, but they are easily offset by him forgetting to bring his brain to the game some days.
is there a way we can setup our account so we get notifications ONLY from people who respond directly to one of out posts. I dont need 1 every time someone posts in the thread, but it would be very useful for following conversation to get them for direct replies.
I think the Rajai/Lind platoon is a good thing. between the 2 off them they make 1 good ball player. too bad they take up 2 roster spots.
Boni has to be sacrificed to the baseball gods. he's the worst player on the team and yet he's a legend in his own lunch time.
blanco next on the list.
DeRosa hasn't been that bad. as long as his appearances are limited, he's an ok bench option for now. at least DeRosa is not an error machine that cant hit like Boni.
jays need to pick up someone if Happ is gone. there really aren't any good options right now in their system. it would stink to do anything to stop the little momentum they have built up.
I really hope he's ok. most of the game I felt just horrible. even winning didn't feel as good as it should have. jays were finally showing some life and... and poor Happ.
jays showed heart to pull that win out yesterday.
they say that baseball is a game of failure, but boni has made failure more of an art form than sport. he's not succeeded at much of anything other than walking around as if he thinks he's a star.
do the jays have any options for pen moves. their pen is tattered after today and I doubt they expect many innings from Romero tomorrow being only his second start. I dont think he has 100 pitches in him yet.
hope we get the Romero from the first 3 innings last game and not the blister kid from the 4th. I dont think we can expect Romero to go more than 5. need to find at least 4 innings from the pen.
