    I think AA was pressured by Beeston who, as amazing as it sounds, knows less about baseball than AA. if the jays dont pull a miracle out of their ass next season I expect that both of them will be gone.

    my question would be more about how much pressure Beeston put on AA to change his plans. AA went from slow, steady, stay the course to the deck chairs flying around the Titanic over night.

    AA expected to aggressively pursue mental midgets with horrible OBP who hit dingerz, one inning bullpen guys and one dimensional speedsters. book it

    is there another franchise in baseball that has as many clueless players as Toronto seems to have. watching good teams play or even mediocre teams, it's easy to see how many things they do right that the jays players as a collective do so very wrong. Kawasaki, although not a MLB talent, was very refreshing to watch because he knew his role and tried hard to do all the little things right. if the more talented Jays had his commitment to team and to baseball they could be 10 times better over night, but that's not the kind of players the jays have. since I cant imagine that the front office specifically targets *******s, there must be a huge flaw in their philosophy of teaching the game and something that will take more than a few trades to fix. the lack of baseball intellect is more worrying than the lack of talent for me.

    I agree... probably LA v Boston final. Tigers barely scraped past the As.

    only thing I am worried about is AA and Beeston tanking the team so bad that Rogers opts to sell and the team relocates.

    jays have 2 guys with business degrees and no knowledge of baseball leading the company and they're not even good business people.

    Rogers owns all the media and the last time any of their pundits question the jays Wilner almost got fired for it. they dont ask question he would actually have to answer because they'd have to leave Canada to work in media if they did

    yeah, because it's obviously the hitting coaches fault that half the team cant hit because it cant have anything to do with the front office's inability to evaluate talent.

    pitching and defense sucked all year so obviously you blame your hitting coach. makes perfect sense when you think back to AA saying that Bonifacio was the key to the Miami deal? sphincter says what ? oh my God!! there's a drunken mad man at the wheel and he's driving us straight into the abyss.

    CM's views go against everything that JPA thinks and AA's gut tells him that JPA is a baseball god, so CM goes and JPA stays. blame the gut.

    most would say that AA is in denial, but that would be insinuating that he had some idea of what he was doing.

    have to agree. as long as it's the same people making the decisions and the same people running the jays minor league system we are doomed to watch baseball that is somewhere between dismal and very average.

    But AA's gut is in charge and the Fat greek's gut likes one dimensional players with non existent up side, so we can expect Goins and JPA next year. funny that JPA's one dimension is twitter.

    jays have a lot of dead weight in the pitching dept. that need to be jettisoned.
