    take Stroman off the development list. he was pretty much ready to pitch when he was drafted. if the hadn't got suspended he would have been up even faster. Jays have depth in pitching. They dont have depth in bats or position players. Pompey was a good pick low guy because of his injuries. He could be a huge piece going forward if he can stay healthy. were Lind and Goins the only players drafted by the jays to play a position before sept?

    lol yeah... just 1 team in the system. Bisons Fisher cats Dunedin Lansing Vancouver Bluefield GCL DSL Jays need to have a system that spans the entire organization. It's the only long term way to make things work. you cant just fix it at one level.

    Jays make their drafting process even worse by being one of the worst teams in baseball when it comes to development. Jays screw up some good draft picks every season. even with optimal drafts the jays would just screw up good players. Jays need to rebuild from Low A all the way to the CEO.

    apparently you've never heard of turf burn. If the grass is done properly it is a little loose close to the surface so you cut up a divot instead of scratching across the top. If the jays dont at least put a dirt base path for next year the FO is ridiculous.

    not sure in what world Izturis is an upgrade over anyone at SS. he's barely a bench player in the majors. that was a pretty stupid 3 year deal.

    The island isn't going to happen. pretty much impossible to get 40,00 people back and forth for a game. I'm pretty sure the old stadium was pretty small. 17,000 max... in the second build of the stadium. if they build a stadium for 40k+ it would be difficult to figure out how to get people in and out for a game. No trains, subways, buses, parking.... trying to Ferry over 40,000 people plus staff, police and all the sidewalk buskers. it would be a nightmare that would make going to the RC seem like rolling out of bed.

    not everyone can do the math, but they should all be able to look up their own stats and the stats of opponents. all the information is out there and free... I am even more amazed at why team's dont have numbers guys in control of their scouting. there are still way too many "gut feeling" dinosaurs in the scouting depts. many players forget to keep pushing once they get their big money deal. They've arrived at their goal of money and quit. that's why there are so few who have long successful careers. The best players have a burning desire to never quit trying to be the best and those few are the ones most of us love to watch play.

    Jays just wont ever pony up enough money to make him want to come. Someone will give him stupid money for 7 years.

    I find it ridiculous that a GM lets his players dictate who is on the team. I also find it seriously stupid that Dickey doesn't understand that his pet monkey is holding the team back

    the manager is NOT one of the big problems facing the jays this off season. the biggest problems are a little higher up the food chain. one has really ugly hair and smokes cigars and the other smokes giros like nobodies business.

    I never should have been in it... lol didn't have a pick right all second half. one first round playoffs, one second round and one in the last round. I hope the team makes it more fun next year. this was a blast in may. not so much in august.

    you cant blame Gibbons for not slotting players, that he didn't have on his roster, into the lineup. Gibbons didn't lose many games this year. A manager's influence is not that big. it's certainly not a 10 win detriment to the team.

    QO for sure for Melky. so the worse thing that happens is the Jays get a pick. what about Jansen, do they try to bring him back?

    His level was lower because he has missed a lot of time with injuries. if he can stay healthy he could be a great piece going forward.

    I wouldn't mind that too much. that would be 1.5M for 3 outfielders. lol it would make us a little light on the offense though. I think Lind is a good platoon guy to bring back. Somehow they need to convince Dickey to get rid of his pet. amazing that it took Melky getting injured to finally get Jose hitting second and Ed 3rd. made the lineup a lot better.
