I just think it's an interesting idea. lol... especially when AA referred to Molina play at 40 in one of the media scrums today.

I'm not saying he's a good GM. he should be fired on asset management alone. I dont know if the Martin deal is a PR stunt or if they are really trying to move forward. We will know if he gets more done before spring training starts. If AA thinks the team is ready to go now, the he's an idiot and needs to go. but once again, the media has made people think we were in on guys who were never going to come here. The Darvish posting was the biggest one. Canadian media took the country to a stand still and the fair weather fans were sold on the Jays not only getting Darvish, everyone was sure that not getting him was a huge loss. If AA was in charge of the Leafs he'd have been out a couple years ago. lol -
the discussion is more about the TO media making people think AA was going to do more than he was ever going to.

I think so too.... AA said they weren't doing anything in the next 24 though. It will get done, but not in time to save anyone and I would expect the Jays to get someone else who would take that spot.

Dickey wont get to have a pet this year. Russell will be catching every game HE wants too. They have already alluded to Russell catching Dickey and Russell is a control kind of guy. it will be his call and Dickey will have to park his ego. Not that I could understand why Dickey ever had a saying in who catches him. especially after Thole showed that he wasn't very good.

If healthy Martin will catch 140 games. that only leaves 22 for the backup. I think Molina could work that out.

wouldn't cost the team anything. Molina would be cheaper than Navarro and he'd probably take a back up role without being a girl about it.

Martin and Molina with no Pikachu or Thole... our pitching staff would be looking a lot better. Molina would only have to catch once every 8-9 days and pinch hit a little.

The Os didn't have an ace... end of comparison lol there D didn't commit many errors and they hit really well and there bullpen didn't blow 20 games. so what is he actually comparing?

They really need an outfielder and probably a couple pen arms. I think AA is planning on going with Izturis at second and keeping one of the fringe infielders on the bench (ie Goins) and Travis in AAA.
