First game was lost due to a controversial HR, this game was winnable, they could have swept the yanks.

Also the first game against the rays could have been won, had JS not mismanaged the game.

This is the only un-winnable game I’ve seen since a while actually. Most losses lately were super close and games they shoukd/could  have won

Jays as a team hit a respectable .276 that series.

They hit .146 with RISP.

They need a good psychologist.

Or invest more with players that have slug and can change a game 1 swing instead of needing 5 swings.

Two of this exact type of player have been on the injured list for essentially the entire season so getting those guys back healthy is a good start. I'd like to see Keys given a legitimate shot to make the team next season as well as he's continued to mash in Buffalo.

Sucks

But excellent road trip overall

Gotta win big at home now

Waiting for the easy part of the schedule may be like waititng for Vladdy to finally break out. We may be disappointed on both fronts

Every team is sub .500 in the AL save for three.  This shouldn't give us any reassurance.

Interleague comes into play as well but I get your point, Jays just got to keep winning series again starting with the red hot Royals up next, it's the bigs kid, nothing comes easy. 😜

Potentially could’ve gone 5–1 on this road trip, but regardless, finishing 3–3 is still a very successful result. Like I said earlier last week, that was really all they needed to do - get through the trip without losing any ground in the standings.

Yeah the thing about the easy part of the schedule is that other teams will be looking at the Jays the same way. It’s really the battle of mediocrity.

Unfortunately I think it has to come down to Vlad. If he has a final month of the season that resembles “playoff Vlad” then the Jays have a great shot. If he’s just a singles hitting sub-.700 OPS player like he’s been all season, then I’m really not sure where the Jays end up. Maybe they still find a way to sneak in but it will be a lot more difficult. The fact that Springer has been awful too is just such a big hole for the rest of the bats to try to compensate for.

It's about Strength of Schedule, Jays do indeed have a break compared to the last run of 15 games or so, it's the big leagues, nothing's easy, they hold their cards just go out and win these series. As they have been. Jays have the 4th lowest SOS number in the AL, that's all I'm saying, they've got to play their cards right from here on out, simple as that....

Mariners
Guardians
Twins
Jays

I'm hopeful that this dogshit offense will get it going.

The lineup has been a little better recently and that's while we've faced some teams with some damn good pitching (PHI, BOS, NYY x2, TBR).

With the "easier" schedule, that will generally mean easier pitching matchups.

The Royals have some okay starting pitching but their bullpen is by far the worst in baseball. They don't have one good reliever right now. Most are replacement level or worse.

It's probably all going to come down to the head to head series.

Cleveland once, Texas once, Baltimore twice.

Can't lose any of those sets.

And Seattle once, Can't lose that either. Realistically they have to see it like they can't lose any series the rest of the way unless they toss a sweep or two in there.

It's crazy

The first place team in the American League West has a losing record

And just fired their GM

This season is so crazy, the Jays might just win it all. 😛
