Just imagine if the Rays were capable of having an average payroll... theyd be a dynasty man.

Meh I agree to an extent, but then they likely would have never operated as they have all these years. Would be nice if they increased payroll when they're in contention.

Initially perhaps, but then there would be the pressure to extend the window and they'd probably turn into a typical bigger market team.

Somehow Lauer was lucky to only allow 3 runs that inning 😢

Oh I know

1 GB

0 K

Eveything else was line drives and long fly balls

I disagree.. I think they can operate the same way but on a larger scale

I don’t wanna see Lauer again

During the spring trainning camp, I said that Lauer was trash and needed to be DFA. Many people here didn't agreed, and now we can see that he need be DFA😁

Imagine what their front office would do with our payroll? Lol..

It depends - money/payroll doesn't always mean good FA signings, trades etc.

Our front office has actually been good at handing out big FA contracts in comparison to other organizations. Look at Gausman, Springer, Cease and, Bassitt.

We've also handed out bad contracts as well - Santander (so far), Roark, Morales - though they happen to everyone, For the most part, nothing crippling which is good.

Just got here, seems Lauer already gave us an uncompetitive start.  Even with Berrios unstable velo I will take him in the rotation over Lauer.

Not necessarily.

Some people operate better under a tight budget. When you have more cash flow/money available in front of you, most people blow it on brand new toys or hookers and alcohol after.

Yeah I can't stand that type of bat, just guesses sometimes.

Varsho is done here 🙏

Nope. Max Silver has to let me fire him into the sun. He gets the final say here.

Straw showing more power than Vladdy so far this season was not on my bingo card lol

Vlad is so frustrating man, should be hitting like modern day Pujols but instead he’s like Lyle Overbay

Apparently Berrios has looked really bad in Buffalo. Doubt he gets called up soon.

They have to bring him up he only gets 30 days of rehab time before he has to get activated. Unless they come up with a phantom injury which I doubt he will be on board with.

He’ll still put up 3-4 WAR in a healthy season, just not sure i’d want him back after this year

Vlady keep his power off untill world series games start😉 Seriously, no having Bichette to hit after him, make Vlad getting less pitches in the HR zone.

Vilade 3 run dinger? *sighs*

Yeah

Awful first inning from Lauer

After we pretty much all thought an opener was appropriate

I don't think he will be offered a long term extension. But I do think the qualifying offer remains a possibility unless he has a really bad offensive Season. But I don't think he will decline it either.
