ComeTogether Verified Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Oka found his mojo. He was a 3 time batting title champ in Japan. It's not a fluke. Stangstag 1

I remember last time I was there in a grocery store picking up a few things and someone saw my Jays hat and asked me if I was from Canada. And than someone overheard us joined the conversation saying they were Canadian. I then met another Canadian in the checkout line. It was pretty funny I was there for like 10 minutes. Makes sense. Arizona would definitely be one of my ideal choice for relocation if you like heat but don’t want to sweat buckets like Flordia. I love Arizona. Two years ago, I toured there for two weeks and loved everything about it. DonJays 1

Smokinitup420 Verified Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Just sitting back enjoying this game, came to say hell yeah Luke’s just needed some meds and okamoto looks like he’s trying hard to adjust and it’s paying off, hope this is a sign to come and we got the boys back! HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I missed the first 3 innings. Looks like Lukes and Okamota are great just like everyone expected.
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Lukes misjudged that a bit, didn't he?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago World Series here we come! Waylanderz, Jays24, ComeTogether and 1 other 4
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I feel like we are seeing way more ground rule doubles this year than normal. Every ball seems to take a huge bounce.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm guessing Miles will come in to finish out the game. It'll be interesting to see if they give Gausman one more first though.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Perfect opportunity to give Hoffman some work 😂 Jays24 1

Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Nance did not throw many pitches to get 3 outs. Hoffman usually pitches 30

I mean, I like Lukes and he's an easy player to root for, but what makes you think he was a legit bat in the first place? He's a platoon guy who is above 30 and who probably put up his best numbers last season (.730 OPS, 103 wRC+). You're making it seem like this guy was a previous All-Star.

Lukes isn’t some established MLB bat - he’s a career minor leaguer, and we’ve seen this type of player plenty of times before. And you’re making that call after only two games, where he happened to go 6 for 10. That’s great, and good for him, but it doesn’t suddenly mean all the concerns are gone. Stangstag 1

No, it doesn’t but when there is a medical issue and a new treatment happening to correspond with the uptick in performance it does give reason to be positive. Spanky__99 and Omar 2

He’s established himself as great hitter In professional Baseball. if they sent him to AAA he would hit .340 and it would accomplish nothing. He has proven last year he is MLB piece that got off to slow start probably because of lingering injuries. Personally I’m glad he’a part of the team because a lot of teams have dog s*** 4th OF’s and Lukes can handle all 3 spots defensively and handle the bat. Some Of the best at-bats of the post season belonged to him. Especially early on. Omar and Spanky__99 2
