That play was on Cease

Cease will dominate hitters the vast majority of time but simple mistakes and control usually cost him runs and lot of pitches.

I mean yes he can't drop the ball. But feels like Vladdy could have ran to first in that situation. Its always a more difficult play to try to hit a moving defender.

I don't agree. Could have called off Cease and Cease could have looked directly at home to see if the runner tries to break. I don't think that runner was going home as soon as Vladdy got the ball where he did.
