neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 is this a home run derby?
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Tbh the Jays have been mid team since the Tigers series
dancingmachine Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 We need a Springer Dinger
Mvjm79 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 any one else get fed up with the over hyping of players and the team that some of the announcers shovel out during the broadcasts? I was listening on the radio and one of the guys claimed that John Schneider claimed that he thought Gimenez was the best 2nd baseman he's ever seen, and the best over all fielder currently in baseball. I guess he never saw Robbie Alomar, Aaron Hill, Franciso Lindor, Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Robinson, or Jose Altuve? Not to mention Matt Chapman, Trevor Story, Bobby Witt JR, Carlos Correa?
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Springer completing the hat-trick this inning would be most welcome.

I recommend the Jays use a 7 man rotation next year with us skipping our 2 best performers at the time... Jays24, Pinkfloid and Omar 3
Masterbather Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Schneider should be in the lineup every day. He's hitting lefties and he's hitting righties. neverbeenhere 1

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Barger swinging at everything....over eager.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 The holes in Barger's swing have become more and more apparent and are getting exposed. I'm not sure why they're putting him so high in the lineup while he's slumping.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Please move Barger to the 7th spot until he figures his s*** out again. Swinging at that crap with Vladdy on deck is horrible.

Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Barger has been exposed as a .200 hitter. Santander hopefully replaces him on the roster soon.
dancingmachine Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 I just don't get Barger hitting 2nd
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Is it really necessary to bat Barger second while he's clearly in a bad place right now? You can argue that he'll see more hittable pitches but we're in a pennant race in late August ffs. Lukes is swinging the bat well again lately and this is what management decides? A young struggling hitter batting ahead of Vladdy and Bo? Make it make sense Stangstag 1
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Barger has been figured out by opponents. It's the same situation as Davis Schneider. Hope he can bounce back like Davis.
neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 JS is crazy, let Lauer pitch again
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Holy fack, 91 down the middle
Mvjm79 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 1 minute ago, Omar said: Barger swinging at everything....over eager. he's an all or nothing type player at this stage. hit for hr or ko. hitting last i saw under .250. 1 HR in last 15 games and 4 in last 30. Means had 14 in the previous 74 games.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Lauer is determined not to let the Jays tie this game.
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 It's obvious Lauer lost his edge with the long lay off.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 Effects of a 6 man rotation folks... cant even take out a guy who clearly doesnt have it and thats with a day off tomorrow. Stangstag and Pinkfloid 2
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2025 Posted August 28, 2025 If Lauer were throwing a perfect game through 6 innings on 54 pitches, then Schneider would have pulled him, but when Lauer is giving up 10 home runs in a start, that’s when JS wants more length. Jays24 1
