Definitely Cleveland

I would expect it's enough for Kwan, but I don't know how to value Bieber with that player option. It's probably the most high risk/reward a team could make at this deadline.

I don't think it would be enough for Kwan. 4 WAR OF controllable for 2.5 years. The package is super weak:

Loperfido is 26 and hasn't really hit at AAA this year. Close to no value.

Martinez is an all-bat prospect who is 23 and has been a league average hitter in like 700 AAA appearance. Very little value.

Stephen is probably like a top-75-125 guy and the most valuable player in the deal. He has value, but I don't see him carrying the weight in a deal for a player like Kwan unless Cleveland absolutely adores him for reasons not available to us.

Just eyeballing surplus value, you'd need two our 50FV prospects at least to get Kwan if you believe projections.

Reds Finalizing Deal For Zack Littell

Pitched tonight vs the Yankees

I feel like he's going to get nuked at GABP

Abel was a former first rounder and always one of those guys that looked the part and scouts loved. He’s 6’5” and his fastball sits at 96.

He could never hit the broadside of a barn though so his stock dropped. But this year his walk numbers have really improved and he showed some glimpses in his MLB starts. If that improvement sticks he could be legit, hence why the Twins wanted him.

Yeah. If I heard the Jays were acquiring Kwan I'd assume one of Yesavage or Nimmala were involved and hope that the rest of the package wasn't too dense.

The Twins are good at pitching as well so they probably know what to look for.

I see KeBryan Hayes was dealt as well. If they can get him to even 95 wrc+...

I don’t disagree but slap hitting defensive guys with high WAR projections fetch less in trades for some reason so we could probably get him for less. We got Gimenez in a salary dump and he plays up the middle.

Don't you dare compare Kwan and Gimenez as hitters lol.

The problem with him is the last time he had a wrc+ over a 100 was 2022. I see your point though.

Kwan has always hit though. He's like if Luis Arraez were an elite defender

I expect that teams would place more than zero value on Loperfido. He was valued last year and has only enhanced his value in 2025 by cutting his K rate and showing real power at the major league level.

We just saw a former top 100 guy who s*** the bed in 2025 go as one of the pieces for Duran, so I'm also hesitant to say that Martinez has zero value. MLB pipeline had him higher than JWB, who we just for Dominguez for.

Front office should be fired IMO. If they still haven’t learned that the deadline is important after all this time, they need to go.

We absolutely cannot waste this team

I'm not going to say Roden will be Kwan... but i feel like there are definitely timelines where he gets to 90% of it.

Yea Loperfido has way more than zero value. He was considered a pretty good prospect.

What's so special about Kwan?

I never really paid attention to him until the current rumors so just going over his stats he's good but not great and he's 27.  Loperfido could turn into him

I just don't see it with Loperfido. He's 26 and and was a hair above average in AAA this year over 315 PA, and projects for a wRC+ of like 95. If we were trading anyone with actual value, another team's Loperfido wouldn't even be on our radar as part of the return.

The ultimate cleveland guy, good defender who walks, doesn't strike out and hits for enough power.

Toronto needs to push the chips in to get players who we know are good now. They can't be hanging onto everybody that could be good.

Pretty consistent minor league track record of hitting. Has decent max EV and bat speed and sprint speed and arm and all that. Did not actually have big K issues along the way. Probably working on specific things this year in AAA.

He's like a soft five tool guy. I'm sure some teams would appreciate him... as a complementary piece.

I believe we pretty much HAVE to move some players soon or we’ll lose them for nothing in the rule 5 or we’ll have to DFA them bc they are out of options and the 26-man will be full.

Clase, Jimenez and Martinez are out of options next year.

See Barger AAA last season, then he made some changes this season in his stance and he broke out big time.  It's so difficult to project though
